Q&A: "Why does makeup make you happy?" Make up makes me happy because it allows me to be"me." It allows me to be comfortable and confident in my own skin. At the same time,it makes me feel empowered. I actually don't know how to put make up but I'm learning na (for months na din) 😂 I remember, when I was in college, lagi akong tinuturuan ng friends ko, pero di ako nagfofocus kasi sabi ko okay naman na ako without make up. 😂 But as we face a new chapter of ourlife, we need to look more presentable especially kapag nagwowork na. I love makeup because it makes me love myself a little more everyday. I used to have mannerisms like covering my face with a handkerchief or my hand. Alam ko pati na it is unsanitary na hawakan palagi mukha ko but I can't stop myself from hiding my face from everyone. Hindi na ako nagtataka kung bakit lumaganap acne ko. It just acted as my defense mechanism from me hating my face more. Pakiramdam ko tuloy hindi ko tinatago mukha ko because people may think I am ugly but because I think I am ugly. That lasted until nag-senior highschool ako. I learned how to use makeup from a friend and even if I repeated myself countless times that I won't get into makeup, I still did. And that is the greatest turning point in my life. Nung trial and error, inayawan ko siya. But whenever I hear people praising me for trying, even if as a harmless joke from my friends, it actually made me happy. So I started watching tutorials on youtube and that's how I met you Hannah 💜 2 years later, here I am the biggest make-up nerd in my circle of friends and still in the process of loving myself more and more each day, thanks to makeup. I got rid of my mannerisms and instead developed my makeup routine. I also love makeup because it actually taught me to save money for my wants and not ask my parents for it anymore as they are already providing my needs. Makeup also introduced the benefits of having skin care routine to me. I became confident with or without makeup! I don't use that much makeup products, only the basics (which are foundation, brow pencil, lipstick and blush), but putting makeup on makes me happy since it can help me look my best (especially when I pull all-nighters and a lil bit of concealer under my eyes can go a LONG way haha). I wasn't really a big fan of make-up up until I started college. At this point, I've learned to appreciate it & people who make it look so easy to do!
