I've been doing Rhythmic for almost 9 years (I'm currently Level 7) and I'm also a coach and judge, these exercises were really good and I'll be definitely using them with my gymnasts!

Im recovering from injuries and have ptsd, therapist asked me to remember times i mastered things I enjoyed as a child to help recovery. I was ready for self checkout . Now I remember so many of the old moves its all coming back to me! The ribbons and balls on amazon look cheap, please can you tell me where i can get better ones, can you get ultra violet?? I’ve always been interested in rhythmic gymnastics after I tried ballet, dance, regular gymnastics (think Simone biles), and cheer and none of those sports were for me and then I got to old to begin in any other sports except for contortion. I’m still working on my contortion and maybe I can learn some rhythmic gymnastics at home! Also 🤔Idea for new sport: Ok so I’m thinking something like say for example in a competition first you would have a wall handstand part to where you would do different types of handstands up against a wall, then the next part would be your own dance routine so you could make it more ballet type, more gymnastics type, more dance type, or more rhythmic gymnastics type or combine your own routine together (freestyle) then there would be a beam dance and you would make a beam routine. And there would be 6 judges, gymnastics, dance, ballet, rhythmic, and freestyle for Olympic competitions but just 3 freestyle judges for anything below that. Ok and in the classes there would be 1 hour 10 minute to 1 hour 40 minute classes (15 minutes on each event or 30 minutes on each event with a 10 minute warm up) and the first freestyle coach would be trained by ballet, dance, gymnastics, and rhythmic coaches and then that coach would train other coaches and so on. And yeah I was thinking something like that. Ps: you are very beautiful and my name is Hannah to!

Is the ball weighted at all? Or is it just like any basic air-filled rubber ball? I always thought there was a thumb hole for some reason, I think it's just the way it's held that one doesn't always see the thumb holding it on the outside. haha.

it's waighted. a regular rubber ball would make the movements/ steps hard to do.

It's like juggling, but with only 1 ball. That's tricky enough already. I saw the Harlem Globetrotters once. I imagine this skill in ball handling requires countless hours of practice. Then multiply that by 5 for all the apparatus types. I wish I had the time.

I was taking online classes from 9 - 5 so I was having to sit for long periods at a time. kzbin.infoUgkxEhgucmXpcAGYh8fatGFEnOK2V97VIwhG After the first day in a regular table chair, I thought about an exercise ball and ordered one that night. It came the next day! My hips, legs, back and butt couldn't have been happier! I'm almost 5'11" and I ordered the largest size and it was perfect for me. I also have RLS (restless legs) and this helped so much.Pumping it up was a little challenging and definitely gives you a good arm workout, (I'm a 62 yo woman) but it's very doable. Getting the tape centered with the hole to inflate it and then getting the pin back in was also a little tricky. But I love my new "chair" and I love the torquiose color. Hopefully it will also get used for exercise. 😁
