Dear Hannah, What a great bookish vlog!!! I so enjoyed coming on your ambles with you. I especially loved the atmosphere of the bookstore with all its amazing books and bookish knickknacks, the beautiful displays and most of all the fabulous children's section. If money would be no object, I could go crazy spending a fortune there!!! I might never get a chance in my life of going to Boston, but you have shown me that places I would have liked to have seen.🦆🌳🌳☕️🫖 📚🚂♥️

What a lovely, lovely tour, Hannah! Thank you for taking the time to be our guide today. I'm just a few miles outside of Boston and have visited some of the terrain you covered, but your perspective was such a delight! I'm planning to go into town next week and hope to retrace some of your stops. I had no idea Hawthorne and James and Thoreau used to live there. Learned something new! Thanks again.

@@HannahsBooks I lived there for just about 7 years back in the 1970s. A lot has changed but so many of the iconic historic spots around the city endure. I loved my time there. For one thing, I was a helluva lot younger! 😉

Hannah, this video takes me back to a trip I made to Boston in April with a group of friends. With a tour guide, we walked all the streets you showed, and more! Then we enjoyed some time at Beacon Hills Books. I bought a Persephone book that had been recommended by the shop owner (Diary of a Provincial Lady by E.M.Delafield) and I could not resist the book Paige of Beacon Hill and the stuffed squirrel, Paige. We had time for only a cup of tea and a delicious popover at the cafe. I look forward to your next video as I’m sure it will stir up memories, too! Thank You!

I love Beacon Hill Books. They carry Persephone books, which I love. My other favorite store in the area besides the Brattle, is the Harvard Bookstore in Cambridge. I attended the launch of The History of Sound in Westport, MA, in my corner of the world, and it was wonderful! The Art Thief was a lot of fun to read.

Nice video of your time in Boston. I brought my daughter into Boston for a concert and so of course I found time to visit the Harvard Bookstore on Mass Ave. Have you been there? They have both a new section and a used section in basement floor where I found some Anthony Trollope novels I had been looking for recently. I also ended up picking up The Art Thief with Framed in September in mind. (in the new books section of course). My most recent trip to Boston this Wednesday we went to the Mapparium at the Christian Science Publishing Society. If you have not been to this exhibit it is worth your time! I am so glad you get to visit with your son and also get to visit so many wonderful places as well. I live here in Mass and feel like I am getting a guided tour as I watch your VLOGS! TY
