I would turn the front porch into a little garden. Build a pergola with grapes growing on it. Add a couple of wood planter boxes for some kitchen herbs and some annual flowers to add some color🌺

In the master bedroom, I would do a wall of wooden cabinet doors. It would make it look tidy and add warmth. Plus, the doors to walk in robes would be disguised!

In your master bedroom, I'd turn that spot back into a closet, or into shelves with doors. You'll be needing to get your suitcases and backpacks out of Levi's closet at some point, and you've got the space there in your room. Maybe you can sneak in the fireplace also, if you want. In the living room, you could paint the fireplace surround and front of the hearth to match the wall color, or do a solid color that's less busy. You've done amazing things to your home, and it's gorgeous! ❤ I never miss an episode of yours. Show us your chickens, plz!

You have a beautiful family and home. The scratches in a solid counter top can be buffed out depending on the depth of the scratches. The two walk in closets could be expanded to include your alcove which could alleviate the need for a desser to free up the wall for mounting the television and allow for a fireplace.

For the dresser in the bedroom; see if you can find a “highboy” dresser in a similar style as the rest of your furniture. It will be taller, but more narrow than your current dresser. You don’t lose storage space for your clothes, but it will fit in the nook to the side of the bed where you originally planned a fireplace. My husband and I have had fireplaces in the bedrooms of two of the houses we’ve owned and we absolutely love having a fireplace there! I vote for putting in a gas fireplace in front of your bed instead of to the side. Just my humble opinion, though. It’s amazing how you have transformed your home over the years!

What about possibly opening up your closets and making that a wall? Then you would have a large walk in closet for even more closet and storage space. I also love the idea of a dresser with a mirror above it in that space and then your fireplace on the other wall with the tv hanging above it. 😊- Joanna

I’d turn the front porch into as green of an oasis as you can. I’d add a water feature like a fountain and try to turn it into a zen area with a garden if you are into gardening.

I just learned yesterday as a matter of fact from the weather channel that if the weather is very hot, not to get in the pool or the ocean. It creates health hazards such as heat stroke and other symptoms. I hardly ever went to the pool or beach as I was going up. I could count on my fingers once 😞 the amount of time I went so I won't be able to tell you if it's true or not. To make sure go on the weather channel to find out more info about it and ask around if people have experienced what they claim happens.

My suggestion for your bedroom is I would hang the tv and put the fireplace under the tv and put a smaller dresser in the nook. Just my opinion but you have amazing taste so I am sure whatever you decide it will look amazing.

I live in Arizona to more Apache junction area and it is hot, but I just got a new home, but I’m more in the city than you. I really don’t like acreage but I love how you have taken care of your acreage. We do have some acreage and our family used little south for horses, but we kind of let it go. My oldest son has the property but he hasn’t brought any horses back yet.

Just an idea for the walkin closet in your bedroom - why don't you connect yours and your husband's as one? You could build up this wall (the one prepared for fireplace), tear down its inner walls and then two dressing rooms and the space from this alcove could be made as one big dressing room. Then, it'd be a bigger redo, but I feel like the two of you could move the moon if you had to ;)

I love americano ( any ) iced coffee with a splash of heavy cream and 2 pumps of sugar free vanilla syrup … I remember when you moved in ! Glenda I have made pomegranate jelly! We had a specialized tool which squished 1/4 wedge of the pomegranate! Unfortunately I have never seen one again for sale ! Another thing we did was we left the juice in the frig for about a week to let the sediment settle before we made the jelly …
