Looks great! For your paints under the cupboards, you can get shallow, sturdy produce boxes from your grocery store. They act kinda like pull out drawers & make it a lot easier to access things in the back. I’d probably skip the contact paper on your counter, because it rips pretty easily if something gets slid across it. I know you feel great having this job behind you! 😊

Isn’t it crazy how much stuff can fit in a small space like that? I was shocked when I saw how much was laid out on the carport floor. You always amaze me with the transformations!! Way more than I would have thought to do, but wow, it’s incredibly better. Love how you and Jaylon work so well together and the outcome was amazing 🤩

What a job! Itooks great! I was actually hoping you would end up NOT doing the peel and stick on the counter. It's so easy to scrape/cut when using the surface as a workbench. With paint, you can always just touch up whatever scratches happen. One question - is it possible those doors had been put on the wrong sides at some point? It seems odd that the knobs are so low. If the doors were turned upside down and used on the opposite sides (if they fit) it would seem much more user-friendly!

It appears that those cabinets are actually upper cabinets- no toekick and the middle one is shorter like over a sink. So that's why the knobs are low.

Yes I'm leaning towards leaving it painted, seems like it will be more practical! Not sure, the doors were like that when we bought the house. We just left the knobs low and didn't bother moving them and trying to fill in the holes because we actually usually open these cabinets by grabbing the top of them haha😄

@@hannahshappyhome Is it maybe possible that you switch the 2 doors on the right to the left and just flip it. And of course the 2 on the left go to the right. If i am thinking this correct in my mind then the knobs will be on top too. I am sorry if you don't get it i am from holland so my English isn't the best..😅 To explain it better maybe take the door on the right. Take it off and just twist it 180 degrees so the knob will be on the right side of de door. Then it should be higher and you can place that door on the cabinet back but then on the left side of the cabinet. Omg so difficult to explain but i hope it helps🤣

If you want a more durable countertop for the work area, go get Henry’s feather finish. It’s a concrete mix that skim coats the top. I used it for my kitchen as a temporary fix and it held up for over 7 yrs until I got my quartz. Would have lasted longer quite honestly. Use at least three skim coats on it sanding in between, then clear coat with a polyurethane and it’ll last you years and it looks like solid concrete countertops! ..as for the cabinet doors, you can flip the doors (reverse sides) and the handles will be up top. ..great job on the small organization and refresh in there. Having things organized sure makes life easier doesnt it?

Hi Hannah and family, I have 2 chest freezers I use one for meat and the other for veg, I grew tomatoes this year and peppers I made tomato and herb sauces to go with pasta. When the supermarket sell on offer on get isay 39p for say 1kilo of carrots etc I prep them all and blanch and freeze them in freezer bags. you could also do what I I've grown different herbs I've chipped them up and placed them in I've cube trays and when frozen I remove them and put into bags with labels on so when I need herbs for meals I add them to soups et c they melt into them, saves waste

I have my freezer organized with reusable shopping g bags and the next size up from the plastic shoes boxes. Meats in one bag, vegetables in another. Quick foods in the boxes etc. Just fyi. :)

Love the makeover. So glad you painted the top of the counter. It is easier to work on and quick fix to do when needed. I am not a peel and stick fan.
