Funny that you mention teachers using Sabaton to teach history. My 7 year old's current favourite thing to do is to pick a new to him Sabaton song and then follow the historical rabbit hole. The kid knows more random history than most adults now. And then he builds Lego models of whatever catches his eye, so I've got so many Lego tanks and ships around my house it's ridiculous. All because of Sabaton. It's pretty awesome.

@@Ms_Sadiya_ Yes, I know Nightwish very well. Been a fan since 2014. I was trying to make my sarcasm fairly easy to get but I know it isn't always in every culture. That Wacken concert is so good every time I listen to it. Ghost Love Score was actually not my first introduction to Nightwish, "While Your Lips Are Still Red" was. But then I heard GLS and was sold.

@@TankTheTech I remember listening to that song for the first time. Me a Swede, hooked up online with a wpman from Oklahoma. Went on a road trip together in the summer of 2011. She played me this song when we where crusing in the southern parts of Alabama. Late afternoon, 90+ degrees and life was awesome! That album is a must listen, for people into that kind of christian prog rock. Back to that song, Lost, that intro and build up is out of this world!

I went to a Takida concert (Takida is a Post Grunge band that's quite popular in Sweden) in February 2020 and the supporting band was Normandie. Never heard of them before but I liked what I heard. A few months later Normandie almost blew up.

I will continue your interviews..but maybe bring out more of your guest than yourself..in your blend. Just now getting a chance to watch this and was not disappointed. This is how I like discussions with artists more conversational and with your background much easier to do that way I’m sure. Perfect first guest (and timing with their album release-which is a f-ing awesome album). Hannes is one the the top ppl I would choose to just sit and have a few beers or whiskeys with and just “shoot the 💩” as they say in my neck of the woods. So easygoing and nice and no ego etc. One of my son’s hockey teammates’ mom is an AP history teacher and told her about Sabaton the other day and I’m awaiting her thoughts as European history is her favorite subject I think. Anyway hope to see more of this content …haven’t commented in a while but still love your stuff. 🤘

The conversation about historical accurate details in music videos is interesting, because I’ve been wondering whether the prevalence of KZbin videos with experts commenting on movie scenes and stuff (think the videos from Insider) is going to affect the emphasis put on getting details right in film. Like, are we going to start having film directors saying things like, “we better not show archers holding longbows at full draw for ten whole seconds before they shoot, because if we do we’ll piss off al the KZbin history pedants”?

Probably not, a lot of that stuff is done despite people on set knowing better simply because it's better moviemaking, which is after all the point of making drama, unlike documentaries. If you're interested in some insight into this from a movie armorer (among other things), I'd recommend Tod's Workshop's video on it. Aside from some stuff that's fairly obvious, such as expensive actors not wearing helmets and whatnot, there are some interesting aspects that I imagine most people outside of the industry wouldn't think about. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3eUh3mieNN_h5Y

Great interview! Just one point about Sabaton, for many of their music videos they do an excellent job with some historical details. The main one that I am thinking of is for Bismarck. During the Battle of the Denmark Strait, Bismarck was hit by a shell from the Prince of Wales in the bow and that caused some compartments to flood in Bismarck. That's why in one shot in the video the deck of Bismarck is almost at sea level.

This was amazing, absolutely great and I had 90 wonderful minutes listening to you and Hannes talk, joke, laugh and share experiences..Felt very relaxed, you are a natural at this Tank. It was very interesting to hear you guys talk about seing one single negative comment amongst hundreds of positive and 'focus' on that one. Me too - I had to rewind a couple of times to catch it all, I was laughing so hard. And in what other format would we get to hear about these incidents? Some of the security stuff brought back memories of my days working at festivals - a bunch of different roles from traffic management to stage security and eventually, managing a whole shift. That was at an event which the previous year I'd been accidentally double-shifted, under my actual name and under my nickname, and was 3 days in before anyone (including me - I was in a fog by then) realised and sorted it out. From the little I remember, I was just thinking we must be really short of stewards as I seemed to be working a lot. That was a long time ago - I met my wife (in her first year stewarding) at that festival, and we've been married 35 years.
