I have to admit I got very lucky getting this release. I was scrolling through Amazon and I stumbled upon it. I had no idea it was coming out. Thank God I got it because I think it's universal's best release

So much red and black you have to love that Keith. Nice to see an old school steelbook again and it's a very nice set. The 4k picture looked miles better in your shots. I agree it's nothing compared to silence of the lambs or manhunter/red dragon but I always got a good laugh from this film when Anthony Hopkins is so polite when killing people. I love when he says okey dokey before pushing off the rood, and good evening before slitting the guys throat before it 😅

Hey Steve. Yeah this was a bit of a no-brainer when it comes to me and it's artwork. I wish the movie would grow on me a bit more than it has. Really looking forward to checking out red dragon though. Anthony Hopkins is great in the movie don't get me wrong I just don't find him near as intimidating as he was in Silence of the Lambs. Hey Keith, that is an awesome Hannibal edition you probably couldn’t make it much better better if you tried. I saw this in the theater and much like you said was not as good as the original but then again, how could it be? I picked up the keno edition a year and a half ago or so not having seen it in a long time. I really liked it much much better this time around. I haven’t seen red dragon. in a long time but I remember it not being as good as Hannibal, so I’m really looking forward to seeing it in the new 4K Kino release have a great one as always.👍

Hey John. To be honest I didn't even realize Kino actually brought out a release for Hannibal and I only just found out they have a 4K release of Silence of the Lambs which I'm definitely going to try and get. I am presuming there must be doing red dragon as well. I'm curious to know if the transfer is the exact same as the Kino one. I don't think it really matters because like I said in the video the picture on this one looks absolutely perfect. Hannibal is one of them movies that I'm hoping will grow on me but it's not happening at the moment but I am persistent. Thank you as always John for stopping by

Hi Keith, I did watch "The Silence of the Lambs" & "Hannibal" both at the cinema & it was difficult to even come anywhere near like the first movie which is a classic & for some reason i"ve never added to the collection 😬, i do need to revisit "Hannibal" as i haven"t seen it since it came out, so maybe a cheap dvd box set from CEX to decide if i love the movies enough to get them on blu ray or 4K. Universal have put together a fine release & the steelbook of Sir Anthony Hopkins looks very eye catching, impressive looking release to your collection Keith, thanks for sharing.

I'm still waiting for the day for Hannibal to start growing on Me. Don't get me wrong I do not hate the movie far from it I just wish I loved it more than I do. You're absolutely correct universal have put together a very beautiful looking release. As a matter of fact universal are hitting it out of the Park recently when it comes to releases like this. I bought a few cases from filmarena thinking they might work but unfortunately they were too small. I think your best bet would be steelbook central. Hey Laura. In terms of collector edition packaging I don't think there's anything out there. Now when it comes to a 4K release that is jam packed with special features Kino Lorber brought out a fantastic edition. That's the probably the best at the moment. Hopefully universal might do something for silence in the future

Like I said in the video I found it to be somewhat underwhelming but I still enjoyed it. I just expected more from Ridley Scott. Thankfully we did get red dragon which I thought was fantastic. Cannot wait to revisit that one

I got the HMV Exclusive Steelbook of Megan it is a nice release but the outer box holding all the stuff is just crap cheap cardboard like their Batman Mask Of The Phantasm release

The Steelbook looks great and I had a feeling the case was going to be very flimsy. It's a shame universal don't stick to the hard rigid boxes like they do on so many of there editions

Michael Manns Manhunter is by far the best. Hopkins Hannibal is a cartoon. That being said i prefer Hannibal (The movie) over Silence of the Lambs. Scotts is a much better director.

People watch HANNIBAL the wrong way. It is nothing like SOTL- why? Because HANNIBAL is a black comedy, not a thriller like SILENCE. The dark humor is very deliberate, and it does not mean to be anything like SILENCE.
