Talking about old DVD prices...in the late 90s/early 2000s I would go to my local Borders Books and Music or The Wiz and buy the new DVD sets of X-Files seasons when they were released for around $150 EACH when they came out. JUST ONE SEASON. and DVD ONLY.

Congrats mate on the subscribers. I'm a massive Physical collector. If you ever need any Blu Rays or 4K from Australia, I'm happy to help. That Never ending story set is amazing, I bought it. I also ordered the Bewitched & I dream Of Jeannie Blu Rays, straight from the original Sony Elements. IDOJ is only pressing 1500 copies so grab it if you can . Much better than the previous IDOJ American Blu Rays were interlaced. These are 1080p in their Original Aspect Ratio. I realize its expensive but its cheaper for UK or US customers because the dollar is so strong. Basically for the UK, just half it then that's in pounds EG.1 pound is 2 dollars plus. Us customers get about 1.30 per Australian Dollar so it works out much cheaper. 🤔🤔

Great channel, love your enthusiasm, passion, and content. Some of the prices for these are a [bridge too far] as that one is ridiculous - it's a decent, but not great movie, even if the extras are great - meh. I do not like the Columbia Classics sets. Very expensive, forcing buyers to pick up films they may not like, just to get 1-2 they do want. They aren't even organized around a theme, genre, or era. I am only willing to drop $30+ for a 4K for desired limited edition steel book (Taxi Driver is amazing and worth it - and was finally released individually...), or for one of my favorite all-time movies like Chinatown or Aliens. Great to have these sets with booklets and extras for some collectors, but ridiculous to not sell them individually - even if that's a year or two from now. Guess I will stick to my blu rays for a couple of these, and have to pony up the $40 for the Criterion Collection Along the Waterfront.

I've already received my copy of Death Becomes Her, love the movie and am very glad it's on 4k now. It's a decent transfer, and it sure never looked better. I do want both Sixth Sense and Signs, but I'm gonna wait for your review first, see what your thoughts are on them are.

@@phantom1122334455films 😕I’ve shared numerous times recently that I give all my studio announcements when the studios themselves give me the go ahead to do them & I don’t have any control over if they decide to delay a release due to production & manufacturing delays that are going on in this industry!! There are a whole lot of moving parts involved in creating & releasing all these 4K💿 releases that can cause a studio to delay or change plans at the last minute!! 😉Hope this helps you understand this a bit better!!👍

Amazon told me that the US steel for D&W is high because of "demand". Scalpers bought it out like crazy, which kept the price super high. So buying from scalpers on ebay will ensure future popular releases are top dollar. EU had it much cheaper.

Yep, got the Steelbook (PUMPKINHEAD) and the last physical media purchase from Best Buy was the complete Steelbook Transformers compilation, and then no more from Best Buy😭
