Very interesting. I remember reading Tom Sawyer when I was a kid and being fascinated by it. Great video as usual. You rock and made me laugh out loud several times.

Mate, your video blogs are extremely informative and entertaining. I'm from the United Kingdom, but I love watching your videos. History can be a very boring topic, but you deliver your knowledge in such a way as to make it very interesting and well worth watching and listening. Thank you.

Thank you friend! You fulfilled my dream of childhood. The fact is that I live on the other side of the globe. But Mark Twain is my favorite writer, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is my favorite book all my life. From the age of 10 I dreamed of seeing the places that you showed in this video. Now that I’m 48 years old, the dream has come true. Thank you so much!

Very enjoyable! Fun to show after reading the book to my class!! I know this town needs the tourism dollars as well.

Epic Video, Sir. Mark Twain was a fascinating man, seeing his boyhood home, and his early influences really puts things into perspective. I love his books! That's it, I just added Hannibal to my bucket list! Thanx Man!!! :)

Years ago, my brother and I were screwing around in the MT Cave. The twists and turns are deceptively complex and within about 30 seconds, we were lost. No joke.

I love your videos. I grew up in a town about 45 min. away from Hannibal (I'm just 90 min. away now). My grandparents would take us to Mark Twain Cave every summer when I was a child. I've been on that cave tour several times. I read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer last year, and that story is even better after getting familiar with Hannibal and Mark Twain Cave. I'm so lucky to live so close to there to just head up there for a short day trip. Thank you for posting this awesome video.
@amb1638 жыл бұрын
Love it! A couple of times I've been the only one on a tour, and it's so awesome! You get to talk about so much more, and ask questions, etc. AAAAND, you get to know the guide as well. They are very interesting people, most of them!

Justin, you make learning history fun, interesting, and entertaining! I almost didn't watch this video because of the length, but I'm so glad I tuned in and watched the entire video. Great five star tour! And the cave segment turned out great. Creepy and sad about the little girl. I'm not surprised her ghost was seen in the cave by a worker. And GREAT find and souvenir of the iron steamship. NICE! I won't be surprised if you end up with your own show on Netflix someday. Would love to hear about the Haunted Ghost Hannibal tour. Continue to have a fantastic road trip! Thanks for sharing your Route 66 adventures with us! I'm sure Samuel Clemens is smiling down at you! ::-)

Hey, I went on that Hannibal haunted ghost tour when I was there for a festival last year. I absolutely LOVE Hannibal, but I have to say that was my least favorite part of the trip. It involves them driving you to an old "potter's field" type cemetery. They give everyone dowsing rods (really?) and let you wander the cemetery. The problem this time was the tour was being run at night, and we were in the cemetery after it was closed. It's surrounded very closely by houses, and one man came out and threatened the group.
@Wubba2Write8 жыл бұрын
YIKES! A man threatening the group sounds scarier than running into ghosts.

That was a great video. When I was little our Dad would gather all of us kids around just before bed and read Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn to us. Sometimes he would have a problem getting the words out at certain parts because he was laughing too hard. When I got older I read it to my kids and hope when they get older and have children they will do the same. I have added Hannibal to my list of road trip areas as I would like to visit all the areas where 'iconic' (at least in my eyes) Americans have come from.
