Hannibal, as stated, is looking to form mercenary contracts and potentially invite many foreigners to join his potential future kingdom. I think he will go around focusing on the smaller, unhappy clans of each faction, building up his reptuation and varied mercenary army, before every trying to claim his kingdom. Outside of that, his desires to trade, travel the map, and ultimately protect Carthage are all worthy deeds.

Hello all, here’s the count for this episode. Hannibal wounds knocks out two opponents in the first round of the tournament. He knocks out Nicasor in the next round, then again in the semi-finals. Hannibal defeats his opponent in the final and wins the tournament. Hannibal scams some locals in Prague, speaking to Honeytongue Aconius about some work. He waits until nightfall then injures a guard. Hannibal speaks to Libertius the Silkvendor for work. Hannibal agrees to escort his caravan. In the first battle of the episode, the caravan is attacked by a party of twenty-four raiders. Twelve were killed, six were wounded, and six escaped. Two caravan guards died and one was wounded. The caravan is ambushed by twenty-eight raiders. Twelve were killed, three were wounded. The rest escaped. Three caravan guards were killed and one was wounded. In one last engagement, the caravan was attacked by fourteen sea raiders. Hannibal did not help due to the aid of a local Roman lord. In the second tournament, Hannibal wounds three in the first round. Hannibal wounds three in the second round. Two are wounded in the semi-finals. Hannibal wins the finals by defeating his opponent, winning the tournament. Hannibal scams locals in Venezia, then speaks to Renatus the Thorn about taking out a guard. Hannibal successfully kills one, then sails to the safety of the Port of Tunis. Hannibal returns to Italy and speaks to Florus of Canterion for work. He agrees to deliver cattle to Wien for 900 Denar. Stopping by the village of Gorcorys, he speaks to Naevolus who wants his daughter found. Hannibal agrees. Hannibal tracks the couple to the village of Avalyps, convincing the woman to return peacefully. Hannibal delivers the herd of cattle and engages in trade. Hannibal chases down twenty-two barbarians. Twenty were killed, two were wounded. Spurius of Ataconia requests ten prisoners. Hannibal delivered fourteen. Hannibal finds a pretty windmill outside the city of Paris. Hannibal tracks down a Gaulic lord named Komakiza and enters his service. Hannibal utilizes his silver tongue(and 400 Denar) to convince his commander to make him a sergeant. Komakiza’s warband joins a larger army outside the village of Château d’Aumelas. The army lays siege to Barcelona. Hannibal fights his first siege battle. He stars out on a siege weapon but temporarily abandons it to let the infantry pass. When the coast is clear he briefly resumes shooting. Hannibal joins the infantry in assaulting the walls. Leading the charge, Hannibal routes the enemy and pushes them back. The walls of Barcelona fall. Of the attackers, eighty-five men are killed, one hundred ninety-nine are wounded, and twenty-three fled. Of the defenders, two hundred eighty-three are dead, sixty-four are wounded. All of Hannibal’s party survived the siege. Alary’s army engages Jastion’s warband of 120 men. Hannibal waits in the reserve forces and does not fight. The army marches to Bordeaux and sieges it. Hannibal joins the assault on the walls. The Romans push out and force the attackers back down the siege tower. The valiant Roman defense just wasn’t enough. One hundred attackers died, one hundred twenty-three were wounded, three fled. One hundred forty-five defenders died, sixty-eight were wounded, and two escaped. Two of Hannibal’s men were wounded. While recovering from the battle, Hannibal was approached by Mizela the Fist, a local gang leader. She asked for help dealing with another gang leader, Guoleta the Anvil, encroaching on her territory. Hannibal leads her men. Twenty-five of Guoleta’s men died and two were wounded. Eight of Mizela’s men died and four were wounded. Hannibal was promoted for his valor in battle. finally got to this episode and i liked it a lot. a small tip: you can change your equipment when serving as soldier from the "state issued" to the one that belongs to you. you can even equip your mount and be mounted, even though your "official" position is not mounted. it's good way to fight as you intend to when you're on your own, increase the skills that are relevant for you, etc. also, check your speed from time to time (expand the bar in bottom right corner), you get a herd disadvantage if you have too many mounts and the rate is quite steep.

Thanks Alexander! Yeah, I realized that I could change equipment. I also learned quickly that you have to remove your owned equipment first unless you want to lose it. Good shout on the speed disadvantage too!

Stewardship is the skill in the game which allows you to increase your party capacity and pay your troops less. It would help you a lot to either get a companion for it or spec yourself into it soon rather than later.

I have a companion with a decent stewardship. We'll work on it more when we're not working on medicine to get that nice HP increase.

Yes, this sustains me! Loving the series so far and that map is incredible. Makes sense to stick around and make some cash with the army. Maybe leverage those wages for a better boat so you can be mobile with a larger party.

It's not meant to be an entirely accurate setting, I think. I don't know what their long term goal is but the Imperium is just meant to be Rome, straight up. Carthage has a mixture of Semitic influences for their faction.
