One of the greatest bands ever? I believe this. It doesn't matter that they are NOT a house hould word but they should be. I bet they are in Finland though, right? Good Lord Michael is handsome! Andy's pretty freakin' cool too. And Andy's guitar tone is perfect. Wow, Finish is such a strange language, Love it. GREAT SHOW!!!!
@FinGooner8 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'd say they are a household name here in Finland. Of course their popularity isn't the same as it was in the 80's, but still. Almost everyone here knows who Michael and Andy are. I love this footage, if only it was the complete show. Ice Cream Summer is much better here than on the album.
@Cinemadaptation6 жыл бұрын
@@FinGooner Yeah most of their early songs were incredible when played after their reformation rather than on the albums. I really didn't know why Michael and Abdy called it quits after Street Poetry because It was an awesome album.

It’s a real misfortune that 2 steps from the move didn’t brake in America for Hanoi Rocks at a time when Mtv was getting a lot of recognition and the record company invested a big budget into it with Bob ezrin as producer.They should have toured with Def Leppard on the pyromania tour with Mtv putting boulevard of broken dreams on heavy rotation.The right management and publicity team should have made two steps from the move multiplatinum.Razzles death had nothing to do with their demise!He could’ve been replaced with a much better drummer,especially by the fact that Rick Allen went on to play drums with one fucking arm!!!
@starchflamingo5 жыл бұрын
the band didn't want to go on after his death. and nasty had already said he was leaving after that tour, before razzle died.
@sergioangel81814 жыл бұрын
i bet they knew what they should have been doing, if they wanted it all, but i think they didnt give a fuck about too much popularity, their sound was never trendy at the time (not like Ratt and Quiet Riot pop-metal) and they knew it.
@felixfranzen73182 жыл бұрын
Old commentent. But exactly! Razzle wasn't very good to begin with. Still the were signs that the were going anyway. Andy seemed to have lost his ability to write songs. I mean name one good song written by Andy post 2 Steps. The lead single on that album was a cover and a lot of the songs were co-written by Ezrin.

Hieman tylsää verrattuna alkuperäisen Hanoin live tallenteisiin, esim Marquee -club vuonna ´83. Punk rock puuttuu, varsinkin uusista biiseistä.

I never noticed the similarities between Mystery city and guns and roses “paradise city”. It sounds like Axl heard Mystery City and wrote Paradise City including re wording lyrics and keeping the part at the end where it speeds up.

@@azrael666ethereal Izzy was likely the biggest Hanoi Rocks fan in Guns N' Roses AND he also was GN'R main songwriter so you can probably blame Izzy for anything GN'R ever stole from HR. Oh, and Andy apparently stole Izzy's girl in 1989...
