Man me too, this soundtrack was the greatest of all batman's movies. Plus it could possibly be ONE THE best of all times. Even better than gladiator, braveheart, conan the barbarian???? Nope not the barbarian. But better than titanic, last of the mohican, any superhero movie. Just listen too these drums and the base. And the asceticism of each instrument. The dark knight begins, returns, and what do you do when you are defeated. You get back up, AND RISE TO THE CHALLENGE!!!!!! EVERYONE FACES THAT ONE THING THAT DEFEATS YOU. THAT ONE PERSON THAT BRINGS YOU OUT OF YOU. ME I HAVE NEVER BEEN DEFEATED. " EVER" SO I CAN RELATE TOO THIS CHARACTER TO SOME DEGREE. MY FATHER TRIED TO HAVE MY MOM MISCARRY ME, THEN WANTED HER TO HAVE AN ABORTION, AT 6 HE KICKED ME SO HARD. THE CHILD IN ME LEFT MY SOUL. AND AT 16 I WATCHED HIM LOAD A SHOT GUN AND WALK RIGHT UP TOO ME PLACE IT BETWEEN MY EYES AND TOLD ME TO GET OUT. I BEGGED HIM TO PULL THE TRIGGER. MY EXACT WORDS WERE?? YOU'RE BAD ENOUGH TO LOAD IT, NOW WHAT PULL THAT TRIGGER AND SET ME FREE. YOU'LL NEVER EXPERIENCE HATRED UNTIL IT COMES FROM SOMEONE THAT'S IS SUPPOSED TO LOVE YOU. I GREW UP WATCHING BATMAN, AND SUPERMAN, THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN, INCREDIBLE HULK, KUNG FU, ( DAVID CARRADINE) NOT MANY SOUNDS MOVES MY SOUL. CONAN THE BARBARIAN, GLADIATOR, LAST MOHICAN, BRAVEHEART, AND WHEN I FIRST HEARD THE DARK KNIGHT BEGINS, THE RETURNS, AND RISES. IVE NEVER QUIET BEEN REMINDED OF MUSIC THAT WOKE UP MY SOUL LIKE THAT DAY I WANTED TO LEAVE THIS EARTH. I WASNT SUFFERING. I JUST WANTED TO SEE IF HE HATED ME REALLY THAT MUCH. AND IF IT WAS THAT MUCH?? I WANTED IT TOO STOP.

8:29 I always visualize this part of the music as Batman rising up, or...anyone rising up. Like a person who has been so broken down by a bully finally rising up and fighting back after all that time. This piece of music right here is just so beautiful in a way I can’t explain, and it’s often under-looked, and never talked about. There are many versions of this as well, such as in Imagine The Fire, Risen From Darkness, Chasing the Convoy East, Batman Begins Credits, and Backup.

THE most astounding composer in my lifetime, and I learned the violin to grade 7 and love Beethoven to Metallica and most stuff inbetween and beyond.
