To me the phrase stuck in my head when the music starts playing and Moriarty says"your telegraph didnt raise any actions against me...you are dielling with human nature of conflict, a war on an industrial scale is inevetable they will do it themselfs within a few years"obviously talking about ww1 as we are in 1891 so much bitter truth in those words! All moriarty had to do to gain from this was as simple as a rich man owig the bullets, cannons, bandages etc. pushing through politics to start a war.Thats why i love the second movie more than the first cause we face a real enemy not tricks or magic but the cold real truth

I know that it's practically the same notes being repeated for two minutes, but throw in that picture and the menacing background music and it feels *so* intimidating.

Zimmer thinks that the way his music doesn't give you a melodic satisfaction drives you towards the end of the movie. His music doesn't give you any answer but the repetition of a very short loop of melody, texture of sounds, so you can feel the emotions of every moment and help you understand the psycological side of every character. So basically, at the end of the movie, there is always a point were things get solved, and there Zimmer breaks that loop, and music become so expansive, deep and positive (depend on the movie). Dunkirk is the best example to understand were Zimmer is an innovative composer. He doesn't write just "themes", he creates worlds.

It has tones similar to Jaws, but it is even better.
