Isaac was 17, Taylor 15, and Zac 12 in this. they are singing live, playing their own instruments live, and they wrote this song, as well as all of the other songs on their album. Yet they had no respect. everyone just thought of them as a novelty. If they made the exact same album (middle of nowhere) but where in their twenties when they made it, they would have won all the awards and gotten all the respect they deserved rather then being treated like a joke. 20 years later and they are still making good music. Maybe they are not selling out arena's or ten million copies of their albums, but they are doing it on their own terms and that matters more then anything else.

I cannot imagine a grandmother leaving any sweeter legacy than grandsons who create and express such beautiful sentiments and share the beauty of music with all generations. Truly a language of love this family knows from one generation to the next. Thank you, Hanson brothers. This is very healing in times fraught with so much familial and cultural estrangement. Wow.

They have that it factor I agree if they had been all older they would have been treated mire seriously BUT you csn tell how much more mature they were plus they are still relevant now. That song is such a truth about where we go when we die and how true it is I told my daughter when I pass away I want that song played I told her that when they were first on the scene and I reminded her not long ago and she said yes she still remembered that. ❤❤😅 I loved them back in the day and I still love their 1st album I dont care what anyone says

WITH YOU IN YOUR DREAMS If I'm gone when you wake up please, don't cry And if I'm gone when you wake up, It's not goodbye Don't look back at this time as a time of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me 'cause I'll be with you in your dreams Oh, oh, oh But If I'm gone when you wake up please, don't cry And if I'm gone when you wake up don't ask why Don't look back at this time as a time of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me 'cause I'll be with you in your dreams...Oh, oh Don't cry I'm with you Don't cry I'm by your side Don't cry I'm with you Don't cry I'm by your side And though my flesh is gone, whoa I'll still be with you at all times And although my body's gone, oh I'll be there to comfort you at all times Oh, oh But If I'm gone when you wake up please, don't cry And if I'm gone when you wake up don't ask why Don't look back at this time as a time of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me 'cause I'll be with you Don't cry... I don't want you to cry and weep, oh I want you to go on living your life I'm not sleeping an endless sleep, oh 'Cause in your heart you have all of our good times Oh, all of our good times And if I'm gone when .. .

I lost my grandfather around the same time as they lost their grandmother, I just didn't know it at the time because I had no idea who they were until 1997. This song made me cry for him . My mom was a huge fan of theirs and she asked that this song be played at my Dad's funeral. All of my childhood friends and I were in our very early twenties when he passed and we asked her if she was trying to destroy us lol. She passed in our late twenties. My brother and I had this played at her funeral. That was in 2012. In 2016, my uncle passed. We didn't use this, buy we sang it. Same for my Mimi in 2019. Then my aunt passed December 29th and I'm barely getting through listening to it this time. These guys are so immensely talented and have been such a big part of my life. They are so underrated. They deserve respect for all that they do musically ans otherwise.

This song has meant so much to me for well over 23 years. It helped me with the loss of a loved one. I’ve passed it on to others at their times of loss. I always meant to write to the boys to let them know how much this touched my heart. It’s hard to believe it was written by young kids. This song moved me and helped me so much that I named my son Taylor so that I would never forget the Hanson boys. Maybe I’m nuts idk..🤪

Back then people used to tease us fans about liking them, even though we ourselves were still teens/kids. Yet Hanson's music was always about more mature topics and the boys wrote the songs themselves. Unlike the music we hear today from the same age bracket. I never regretted my love for them back then
