If you are afraid of anything or you feel like there is negative energy around you some ghost or something like that just chant Hanuman Chalisa and you will understand that you are no longer afraid of that thing your heart will stop pacing and you will become calm. Not sure of the Hanuman Chalisa book, having all such stories. After all Hanuman C halisa is a devotional hymn. If you want to read about his stories, you should try SunderKand. It's written by saint Tulsidas, the author of RamCharitraManas which is a translation of the original Ramayana written in Sanskrit by Maharishi Valmiki. jai hanuman is can be approximatly translated to glory to hanuman. BUT there is no translation of word jai in english its a feeling of being victorious. Also Hindi and sanskrit are diffrent language and sanskrit is becoming more of a dead language like latin and ancient greek language. Hanuman is not a monkey god. During the Ramayanam Vanaras arrived from Africa about 1.8 million years ago over the land bridge during the Rama empire.
