My wife wrote 10 books before she sold her first, took about 4-5 years, she’s sold over a hundred now. So keep writing and learning. PS 5-6 of those rejected books sold later with few and I’m mean few edits. Proud husband.

3:30 - Well, all these first novels are written by *children* - people at a time of life that just doesn't equip them to produce the really really good stuff. Just finishing that first novel, regardless of its quality, is a huge accomplishment.
