Man, mma sparring is a mixture of tecniquese from another martials arts. Mma hasn't invented anything.

Sparring is using all the techniques, it's just that hapkido is so well rounded it covers at least a bit of nearly everything in mma (throws, submissions, kicks, and even some not so useful joint locks).

@@BrenoGF144 The wrist locks and joint locks are actually helpful, when someone has held my shirt in the past I put them into a lock quite easily

My question is, if the punches you are throwing are not going to connect, why also only punch to the body?

Hapkido incorporates leg sweeps and some basic judo throws (though ‘mileage may vary’ based on where you train.)

Extremely poor judo. Hapkido is actually partly based on judo along with tangsoo do and daito ryu jj.
