Why would you fight someone who has a knife
@SaveliyShabanov8 ай бұрын
That is fucking bullshit, you can not fight with a knife no matter what anybody says, if you try you are: dead, your opponent dead, and you in prison, on you and your opponent both dead.

Most people rather be shot than stabbed and ripped open😂, that’s some nasty work. The thought of a blade in a room close quarters is terrifying.

yer def on target; but, i would add: a SOLID heart-stab is the only sure way to ASAP solve the lethal problem; unless you stab the heart, there's NO TELLING how it will take you to solve the lethal problem. at 67, i continue to run across real-world examples of combatants NOT being disabled by very destructive cuts/slashes/stabs/hacking-strokes! however, otherwise: there's heavy clubs to the cranium, a solid garroting, a heavy chopping-stroke (kukri, bolo, ax) to the upper neck-spinal-cord-- but knife? go for the heart, or expect a prolonged, very lethal scuffle-- in which your targets' 'buddies' may deal-you-out from behind, at any moment. my research QUICKLY discovered dozens of real military-warror knives, daggers, from all over the world, for centuries of deployment, with avg 10''blades TEN INCH BLADES, or much longer!-- these were obviously for stabbing the HEART from the angles created at grappling-biting-range (upward, downward, right rib-cage to the heart-- long blade rqd; armored, OR unarmored targets.

I was trained in cqc with knives It wasn't for fighting it was for gutting and cutting my instructor would say Most of the time the knife is added to the exchange covertly and vital points are being targeted

If you listen to people that actually have a lot of knife kills - the soldiers from the trenches of WWI - the best place to stab someone is in the face. Will that kill the enemy? No. But getting a 7 inch blade through your jaw, tongue and cheek usually gets you out of balance. That's what they did - they jumped into the German trenches and stabbed anyone they met in the face. Then they proceeded to finish them off. There are examples of soldiers facing as much as six enemies at once taking them all out with a knife with the face stabbing method. Try it out the next time you face someone armed with only a knife.

As a professional I’ve learned long ago a reversed grip is just impractical. Forward blade is the best
@MrWolf-le4nv2 жыл бұрын
You know I've practiced w knives my whole life. I carry one every day. When I actually had to use it, it was different. It all started extremely fast. I wasn't really going for any fancy moves or anything. I just reverted back to making the X ( simple drill I practice for muscle memory) and taking swipes while using my reach. (I'm 6,4). Unless you were in really close or blitz attacking someone I would not encourage the reverse grip. Also be prepared to get cut. I only got sliced once and it was fairly shallow. If I wasn't trained I honestly believe it would have been really bad. If I had been more mentally prepared or had a second to get my mind ready it may have went very differently. BTW.... My knife was a Sharp Finger and very sharp. The other guy had some big Arkansas Toothpick looking knife

Im going down to Mexico here in a couple days and if I find myself in a situation like this I’m definitely going for the eyes and nuts until they chop my head off. Then the U.S can decide if they want to decide to intervene in Mexico oh estoy they won’t because it’s a multi billionaire dollar businesses and they’ll put you 6 ft deep for try to interrupt it.

@TibGabinius3 жыл бұрын
I dont believe in any technique that requires more then a quick reaction. You ll need to train that so damn often that it becomes a nature for you grabing the wrist of a person that specific way as soon as they have something in their hand... "Grab that wrist - BEFORE he starts stabbing. Grab it right here, with the other hand here, palms that way, ellbow bend that way, positioning your body that way and be prepared for a push AND a pull movement AND...." Nope. Someone tries to stab you - you ll not be able to pull all that off if you dont have trained that till you dream of it.

Did this combat instructor break out a real blade and demonstrate using the real blade? Why not load your sidearm with a full mag of defensive ammo and draw down on your training partner? There's a reason we use fake knives and blue "Guns" when we practice with people. They are made for the purpose of training safely. Not sure I'd ever want to train where safety is tossed out the window, especially to make a video.

A karambit is made to be used as an extension of the hand. And can be utilized very effectively if you are well trained and also have boxing skills. Since you can strike with it. It's not a weapon for a untrained person. The guy in this video didn't use it to its full potential
