Use a dry lubricant like graphite instead of WD-40 on your deadbolt.

@friskydingo537010 сағат бұрын
Yes, graphite is the way to go excellent advice. Metals can expand and contract in hot and cold weather. WD40 is a water displacement formula, which will desolve any oils. The trick is dry lube, aka graphite. 👍

I am from North Carolina. We have sirens down here, too. The volunteers' FD used to notify the volunteers' firefighters about calls before everybody had pagers. Now, the main reason for going off is tradition. Enjoy y'all videos.

So what happens when citizens actually need to take cover, lets say in the instance of Chinese military aged males flying drones into our military bases and grid infrastructure, what then? Hey, the exiting administration let tens of thousands or more of them into our country, what did you expect blue vote choices would do? While we were infighting, arguably about the stupidest things humans have ever argued about, they took advantage of our ignorance. I have a feeling that what's coming is going to make 911 look like child's play, and those "traditional sirens" are going to exacerbate things for ya'll. Jus' sayin'. I pray I'm wrong.
@tannerjim7 сағат бұрын
The "T's" are not for "tires" they are for seperate trailers. Once on T1, you just touch the tire to select it. You're using 4 different trailers (one tire on each trailer) to monitor your tires.

Generally, as lubricants go especially for outdoor locks in cold weather, graphite powder works well. I'm not sure how the mixture of WD40 and graphite will work now that WD40 is in there though. "Maybe" an alcohol based cleaner (electronic control cleaner?) followed by a canned blower blow out then then the graphite. After any of this work the locks several times to make sure it moves smooth and free.

Your door lock: WD 40 is a distillate, not a lubricant. Use a dry silicone lube type spray, like you would use on your slide or if you have it graphite. Locksmiths use graphite. Never use oil.

42 years driving truck double triples single. Over 50 years RVing 3 years full time. Electric brakes really don't play nice in bad weather. Not that air brakes are much better. I'd watch the weather really close and take the southern most route that's the best. Get off the road very quick if the roads get slippery. Practice not using the brakes. Engine brake. Very light foot brake.

My dead bolt sticks like yours at times. What works for us is when it sticks I’ll push the door inward and the dead bolt will/has unlocked with the key fob. When you use your inverter try using a 15amp or 20amp extension cord to a 50a to 15a dog bone. It is much easier to handle an extension cord than that heavy 50amp cord. Those are two things we do and work well.

Dexter not happy was funny as we have two cats so our ride was stereo because they both were not happy in the truck. The furnace falling out was not good but could have been worse. We had our power panel almost fall out only one screw holding it. When I put it back in I first put two sided tape(3M) completely around it and added 4 more screws as there were holes for them already. I think maybe they should have been there in the first place. The only other trailer problems we had was a road cone in Missouri (road construction)took out some sheet metal along with one of our side marker lights. We did have a DEF problem twice in Arizona going to and coming back from Ca. It was explained to me the second time it happened to never ever buy DEF from the pump at a truck stop as they buy the cheapest low grade DEF. We did stop at the KOA Easy Ashville in Swannanoa not knowing two days later they would get hit by Helena feel so bad for them beautiful campground enjoyed our stay there. We are back in Chesapeake Va. just waiting for spring and then back on the road. We do enjoy your videos always fun to watch.

Why not take a more southerly route? My family just RV'ed from Denver to Santa Barbara and back for Thanksgiving and the weather through CO and UT was full on winter at that point. So we went straight south from Denver to southern New Mexico and then west through Tucson AZ to CA and then back home along a similar route. Not as direct but we avoided crossing the continental divide in CO and for most of the trip it was a perfect 70-80 degrees during the day and above freezing at night with dry roads, and water at the camp sites and in the RV. We had the pink stuff in the lines until we got into southern NM and out of the freeze zone and then it was smooth sailing and beautiful the rest of the trip until we re-winterized right before we came north again. Those of you with winter-ready rigs might be more capable with the winter weather but you aren't going to be outside by the camp fire looking at the stars in a blizzard. PS. HappilyEverHanks is entertaining and highly informative and we have learned a TON from the experiences you share. Thanks for doing what you do - you deserve a million subs!

Stop using WD-40 in your lock. Graphite lock spray is meant for this. Oil gums up even light oils like WD.. You are creating your own issue. Now you will have to clean the gummed up oil out. Break cleaner then graphite spray if you have sticky locks.
