I grew that squash a couple of years ago and loved it too! They are the only squash that is resistant to bugs for me!

My daddy owned a dairy farm when I was little and when he got ready to retire and sell it he cut off 4 road frontage lots . One for his parents who lived in the house with us prior to building a house on their lot. And then 1 lot for each of his 3 children. So we basically all lived on the farm in separate houses! It was definitely a thing to do it that way in the area we lived in about 10 miles out in the country from South Boston. I loved listening to you talk about each child today and how they are alike and how they're different. You can tell you support your children in their preferences and what they're good at doing. That's so good to see. I have 2 grandsons who I kept from the time they were babies until they grew up......spent every minute I was with them focused on them and doing things together. Now that I will be 70 in September I have so many beautiful memories to enjoy.

My grown son and his wife live beside us. My daughter, husband and grandchildren live on a large farm about 20 minutes away. We are all considering moving to the farm. Valerie in SC

I have two grown children . Personally I could not sleep with them in my bed but they were right next to me until they were over a year. My daughter has a 4-year-old and he sleeps with her and her husband. Personally I could not do it but, if it works for other people that's their business. 😊 Zinnia is so creative like her Momma.💐

Where you grew up in VA ain’t much different from where I am and grew up. I grew up on a farm, in a holler beside my grandparents. I live in a very small town 17 miles from my home place. I want to go home to the farm but my husband is a “townie” lol! My farm is a VA Century farm so it’s so important that I preserve it.

I have wondered if you use the “envelope system” for budgeting your money. It’s a great tool and a lot of people find it helpful. Monthly income can be divided in different categories such as rent/mortgage, gas for car, groceries, utilities, savings etc. Maybe you could do a financial video on how you stay discipled to achieve your goals, such as buying your home without hving to get a loan and your saving techniques you used to achieve your goal of debt free homeownership.

Do u cook the long beans the same just chop them smaller and fry or do u do something else always thought about growing them never did. Will def. Be doing that squash next year though

These long beans are just like greenbeans and you can cook them just like greenbeans, but I had some red colored long beans in the past that were really different from green beans and I didn’t like them.

Impressive! I am about 2 hours from you in MD and tried planting on the deck (deer eat everything). I have nothing yet! I know it's a little warmer where you are but I'll be happy with 2 cherry tomatoes....LOL What is that type of squash called? I's love to try that.
