I have been doing paath since long time but now in this lockdown I have time and I am trying to understand the meaning of paath sahib. I have been through rough times in my life but whaeguruji has always been with me. Because it could have been lot worse if thy god is not with me. Thank you and I am looking forward to much more in this spiritual journey. Thanks again.

About the letting go ego. A player is at his/her best when they let go the sense of self and be one with game. Same goes for an artist or a actor, the best work comes when they let go the self. Now imagine if we let ego go for day to day life, how productive the world be.

What I mean is, just by wearing 5 K s, one will not become a sikh. It is by following the teachings of the Guru, which is most important. Sikhi, is not for outside display but walking in Gurumat and to continue learning. Please, understand that I'm not denying the wearing of 5ks, but I'm trying to highlight the following of teaching of the Guru, which is above all. Waheguru ji 🙏

Shubhvijaya phalguna no its more important and above to take amrit and follow shri guru granth sahib ji, than to just following shri guru granth sahib ji.. like most Indian spiritual traditions you have to adopt a guru and the way you adopt shri guru granth sahib ji is by khanda di pohal...there is big difference in a person's karma who follows shri guru granth sahib ji by taking amrit and in a person who just follows the teaching... Karma is a huge game...

A small note to my Sikh friends here - Did you know the origin of the word Satsriakaal? It comes from Sanskrit -> Satya (truth) + Sri (divine) + Akaala (ubounded by time). Satya is shortened in Punjabi as Sat just like numerous Sanskrit words. This is the same way for Namaste - which comes from Namaha + sa + te = which means the divine in me bows down to the divine in you. The tragedy is that Britishers killed Sanskrit and have disconnected the people of this country from its roots where people don't know the origin of the words they even speak. But here we are in a tragedy where somehow a meaningless term Hi, Bro, Yo are considered cooler than far more meaningful and spiritual words.

“Change what your mind is doing” is the same as “repent” and have the mind of Christ. It’s to change your mind and turn back to what is true. Just as Jesus Christ said “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father besides the son. Remember, you are all sons of the most high. Do not lie to yourselves, being the children of “satan”. Understand you are of the Father that is true, NOT the father of lies. You are of the one who was, and NOW is NOT. Once we've the ABILITY to look: ..up VERTICALLY to think of what's up there, ..HORIZONTALLY to see our fellow beings, or .. look DOWNWARDS to understand what's there in nature, then you have to look INSIDE you and MEDITATE on your presence in this period of time of yours. In fact, we are but STUDENTS and WORKERS . Why don't we then choose to approach our duties with JOY? There's HOPE for humanity through EDUCATION, education that has positive impact on our psychic. Thank you, a flexible guru

The word “god” isn’t the problem, it’s the interpretation of it. “YAHWEH” is “IAM”, (the ground of all being) It is the that which is happening. Our egos are the fig leaf bikinis hiding ourselves from the presence of the I AM. It’s why so many through meditating discover it. Because it’s wherever we focus out attention with allowing distraction. I don’t mean you must “meditate” but you must see the one as with one eye. HOLY COW, he just said this as I was typing. It’s like when Jesus said, “if your IV single, your whole body will be full of light.” Language is tricky, it’s all semantics .

Modern Judeo-Christian spirituality is heavily influenced by dualistic Zoroastrianism. Reading the Tanakh, the New Testament, and the Quran from the framework of Gurbani resolves a lot of the issues and conflicts people have with those texts. Meister Eckhart and Mullah Sadra present compatible models of Christianity and Islam, respectively. And Judaic reformers even today talk about a monistic model more closely aligned with Gurbani. That is, the dualistic Zoroastrian influence is being contended with and removed. So, it isn't a matter of Gurmat vs Judeo-Christian perspective, but monism vs dualism within any religion that is the primary concern.
@jatindermangat5482 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing your perspective and interpretation 🙏 it has been very enlightening. I do have a question around Shabads that we generally interpret differently… such as “ tum maat pita, hum baarik tere”, “tu mera pita, tu hai mera mata”, “ek pita, ekus ke hum baarik”. They reinforce our earlier interpretation of a male father figure. Could you please share your thoughts on these. Thanks 🙏 Really appreciate your radical work there.

I hope I can become more realistic and apply what s written in Gurbani in my life more. Waheguru Ji

He says the supreme essence that you are does last forever its akaal without time and death. And anything other then that is temporary. That doesnt mean that we should just deny the whole human experience. It just teaches us how to enjoy the human experience without being attached. Just find something that you enjoy to do. Could be anything. This is my advice. But I can understand if you still feel depressed, just keep your head up and look at the positive things of life, talk to people about how you feel and try to do something to change it. Maybe if it is really eating you up, try and have a counseling with a psychologist once?

Its true that "happiness" is within you no doubt about it. But...its a humongous but in that whatever the world offers from atom 2 the whole planet then Universe, nothing but nothing gives a happiness eternal forever. Its a fleeting happiness which is for a time period. Then weariness boredom ritual habit become agonising. The child's new toy lasts a while then it is thrown away discarded broken. A new toy a new happiness. Skipping from one happiness to another life passes away & death walks in. What a wasted life without true happiness. Q. How then happiness? Where how who can give it? Ans: This is a pre-ordained writ in one's destiny by God Himself & mercifully gifted by a true guru or prophet. The haves are 1% and the have nots 99%.
