It really is hard to believe it’s been 18 years since the Nintendo Wii and Wii Sports were released. I was only 8 years old when it came out. I’d always go to my Grandpa’s and play Wii Sports with him and have so much fun. I would give anything to go back to those days because those times were simpler and so much fun.

I was 3 in 2006, I remember going to my aunt’s old townhouse for thanksgiving in San Francisco and my older cousins making a Mii for me on their Wii. I think we played bowling on it, and I loved it so much that my family got a Wii that Christmas. I’m 21 now, one of those cousins is dead and my aunt has since estranged herself from us. Wii Sports just brings back such a simpler, happier time for me.

She loved to play Epic Mickey and me and my brother loved to play Wii sports and many other games that we still have stored on the shelf somewhere. The biggest challenge between me and my roommates is getting the lowest score in 18 holes of Wii Sports Golf. Our current best record is -13 under par, which we consider a perfect game. The best way to accomplish it is as follows: Birdie 1 Birdie 2 Eagle 3 Birdie 4 Eagle 5 Birdie 6 Eagle 7 Birdie 8 Eagle 9. This is the highest possible score without counting fluke hole-in-ones or hole outs. Took us a long time so it only seems fitting that you give it a try. Pretty infuriating too. Have fun :)
