There is something extremely soothing about this video. And cool to see ADnD rulebook, I am generally aware of the differences to DnD 5e/3e but never got the book in my hands to have a chance to just go through it (born at the wrong time and wrong place for that). Thank you for showing it

I’m currently playing in an AD&D 1e game, by the book as much as possible, and due to some absurd luck, ended up with a psionic magic-user. We’ve spent some time learning how to use it but essentially, psionics are not necessarily as powerful as people think. I mainly use psionic invisibility and detection of magic, which are both great, but must be considered each time because a random monster roll can bring forth the random psionic monster chart. Mind Flayers and Demon Princes? Oh yes, the possibility is there.

The monsters were my friend's favorite weapon against psionic characters. My 1st level character vs. a su-monster. Sure. I'll definitely win that.

@@FantasyAuthorsHandbook one time we encountered a pair of Brain Moles and though the party sprung into action and made quick work of them, psionic vs psionic combat happens at the speed of thought. Although I survived, I sadly lost TOWER OF IRON WILL! Can only be restored by a Wish spell, which in 2.5 years of playing have never found.
