Believe me you never stop seeing them as your little babies. My son is 18 and I still see a little 2 year old when I look at him, sometimes it takes me kind of by surprise when I see he's over 6 feet and muscular. When my sister's son died in December, he was on life support (he had undiagnosed type 1 diabetes) he was also 18 and I found that when I was looking at him standing by his bed I was seeing him like a flip book, flipping from the man lying there to the little bubs he was not so long ago. It was surreal. Also there are elements of character and personality and patterns of speech and such that never change and they carry on with them into adulthood and if you play it right they'll still give you cuddles and read with you and want to spend time with you and just think you're the best thing in the world even through the teenage years and beyond. You're both doing a great job of raising a fabulous young person :D

And I know what you mean about still always seeing the little child even when they grow - my son is 16 and I still see the sweet little toddler he was! xx

My daughter is 19 months old and has been obsessed with my makeup and products since she was able to hold anything . I too will be getting her a play makeup set for her 2nd birthday . It's not encouragement, their interest is already naturally there. This is a deterrent to save our products lol. I think your gift ideas and the amount was spot on, they always get so much from other family members too. Great vlog x

Oh my goodness I wasn’t prepared to cry but when you were tearing up, what you were saying was SO relatable! My daughter is a month older than D and while I love how much she’s grown, it will be sad to look back when she’s older knowing she’ll never be my little toddler anymore and that this chapter of her life will be over. There's a series on Netflix that I stumbled upon called Wanted. It's Australian and about 2 women who witness and crime at a bus stop and end up going on the run. It's so good and definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat! I'm in Canada though, so I can't guarantee it's on your Netflix.
