Say what you want about Joan, she had tons of charm and personality, and lit up the screen every time she appeared on it.

fool4singing yes I agree she, I don't care what anyone thinks, I love Joan Crawford, I don't think she is those things people say about Joan. to me she is the epitome of a true "STAR"... She has it all charisma, extraordinary acting abilities, and beauty...a real legit star, she cared herself like a star...the gay community absolutely love her, she is a huge Gay icon and to us she it the brightest of them all. it's amazing she is getting all this adulation and her work is having this surge of reviving, now a younger generation gets to see this remarkable women. RIP Joan Crawford the star amongst stars (1908-1977)

No one can carry a picture the way Crawford could. She'd put on her mink or attire and forcefully and skillfully perform at her melodramatic best. You can't take your eyes off her, she steals every scene she's in. At her best she's a force of nature, no one could touch her. There was only one Joan, she's sadly missed and always remembered.

This video actually made me cry...I cry everytime I replay it....Joan had so much good in her. I wanna apologize on behalf of the whole world for trying to take that smile away. ( Please folks...don't argue about what's real and what isn't. I believe what I believe, and my beliefs actually make me cry harder...) Joan, you're beautiful and i'm sorry.

I've been misunderstood and misinterpreted in my life many times or things have been exaggerated that I've done, and things were said about me that were untrue, so this gives me pause when it comes to Joan, and I give her the benefit of the doubt on things that have been said about her...in the end, to most of us she was an actress and performer, and that's all that matters to us personally.

One element that came through only in her later television interviews was her keen intelligence. She was very smart, very literature and very insightful She was also a realist and didn't hide it in the interest of stardom. As an actress he had tremendous range, but that only comes through when you see a collage of excerpts from her films. She was well known for being loyal to her fans and to all the technical people she worked and for inviting not just great stars to her home but new talent and people who had worked on sound, lighting and props on her films. She had a reputation for being tough but given her horrendous childhood she knew she had to be to succeed.

She really did have a native intelligence. She might not have been educated but she almost certainly had a high IQ. She also knew people. Some people can just run circles around others even when they are prepared for it. She did that to numerous directors. That might have been her greatest trait, aside from that infectious energy, chiseled face and athletic figure.

There were times when Joan Crawford said in her interviews that she was told she did not have any talent that she actually believe herself about it Joan did not only possess intelligence, but during a scene of Bette Davis shot up in a balcony in a Louisiana mansion she gave the scene a better & quicker fix of the shadows in a film noir ,then Bette Davis told one of assistant of Robert Aldrich how in the hell that woman fix that so quick???so that shows that Joan not only knew how to focus the camera where actors &actresses were supposed to be angles, all those secrets & things that most. of the time directors & assistants know about that shows how brilliant Joan was & thanks to the magic of those cameras. stars like Crawford never die...love you miss Crawford .

What a wonderful actress she was! I get so upset when I hear people say that Bette Davis was superior. No, she wasn't. Look up Star and Glamour in the dictionary, and a picture of Joan should be there. Whatever people may think of her private life, I find it sad that she doesn't get the respect she deserves as an actress.

Mark Malcomb I couldn't agree more. Thank you. I believe what you said with all my heart. I also believe Joan was a caring person not the Mommie Dearest monster. Fact she took care of actor Francot Tone when no one else would. He was practically penniles.

People either pick-up on her infectious energy, or they dont. It was no surprise to me to learn that she was an Aries. She has a sensual energy that just leaps off the screen. I've never seen anything as close to her. The ability to deeply emote even in still photos with that chiseled face, is one of a kind. You can see why men fell hard for her and would put up with an Aries, to the extreme. She was dynamite, both good and bad. None of her early marriages had a chance of lasting. That's why she loved Steele. She'd finally mellowed enough for marriage, and knew it.

I love Joan. What a beautiful, talented actress. A star of the first magnitude. Unfortunately she had to adopt a crazy, jealous daughter. Joan was magnificent. Christina wanted her Mother's career, stardom, lifestyle, money, buit she wasn't willing to put in the hard work to jake it happen like Joan had done. So, Christina trie3de to take it from Joan with a book. A book Joan had been told about by her publicist, which is why Christina knows why Joan cut her out of her Will.
