Good morning, afternoon or evening, technodad. I came to watch this video after a year. Like some comments, I refused to watch techno’s videos after his passing and just couldn’t bear that he was gone. I came here because i wanted to feel a sense of grief be released from me. Whenever I watched his videos, it made me feel as if I was a little kid. I know that you know, your son was a huge inspiration to others, whether they were young or old. I know that he is one man, but that one man influenced others ten fold; all by playing a blocky, sandbox game. I know I am still a teen, I am scared of what awaits me in the future, when I’ll die, how I’ll die, but I am glad that he gave me the motivation to achieve what i thought couldn’t; and i applaud him and you for that. Although you may not read this, but in the case you do; Mister Technodad, I personally thank you in behalf of anyone and everyone who was inspired by your son, or a fan. And although the painter is gone, the art he has created never dies. Thank You.

Interesting tid bit of information here. He did a stage on discord awhile back and I asked him specifically why he decided to continue interacting with Techno's community. He said something to the effect of that he saw others were impacted in similar amounts to him and he wanted to make sure everyone knew he was there. He realized just how much Techno meant to us all and wanted to make sure we could all grieve together.

The grief well never runs dry. I recently unlocked mine through personal loss, and am finally brave enough to watch this. And I've known since we lost him that the pain would be immeasurably greater for those whom he knew and loved and owned, but it's taken me this long to be able to watch his videos. I'm so sorry. Yeah it was always the saddest scene in the show for me because it felt so real and knowing things like that actually happen... Now seeing this I thought of that as well and its devastating to even try to imagine how it must feel to lose someone like that I just shy away from it when I try to imagine it and cant imagine what it would be like for it to be a reality. Seeing the love this dad has for his son makes me realize how even though he is there on a screen, like movies, he is somewhere in the world in real life without his son. Its real. I wished I saw this sooner, this is such an amazing video, that last section was so beautiful, the allusion to Iroh's loss in atla, the potatoes and the End poem. I remember hearing the author of that poem being dismissive of including that last line within the game, but man can these sometimes silly games and shows hit like real life. I still remember vividly, the day before i knew of his passing, i checked on his channel to see if he was doing good, i felt nice knowing that maybe, just maybe, he was getting better. I feel nothing but gratefulness towards his life, without him, i wouldn't be able to write in english as i do now. I still come back to this video often and every time it effortlessly makes me bawl. Techno changed my life in ways I never expected a content creator to. His vids made me laugh and smile even during my worst days. Up to now, I find myself occasionally basing my sense of humor off of his uplifting, hysterical personality. He inspired me to always be kind to others and remind them to be happy, even with all the struggles. He inspired my perseverance in doing what I love, and loving what I do, instead of just listening to the naysayers who tell me making money is the only thing that matters. He gave me a sense of motivation that despite me not being the best socially, I could find a place where I truly felt at home and be able to find people who appreciated me for who I was. He made me remind myself that being good at what you do and constantly striving to be better does not suck out all the fun of it. We can still strive to give the best performance we can and love every second of it, its not one or the other. Techno gave me more values and morals to go by than probably any content creator I’d followed in the past and still up to now, and for that all the memories of being a follower of his will forever have a special place in my heart.

It is humbling to see you both celebrating and grieving with us. My Mother’s birthday is very soon and I can only be angry after 30 years of not having her here physically due to cancer.
