I love hearing musicians talking about beginnings and coming up. The great Les Paul, who passed in 2009 and every musician in the modern era knew him and his music, talking to Paul McCartney who pays him a compliment. Just beautiful.

He's talking about his cousin Betty Robbins & her husband' Mike Robbins’ pub, the 'Fox & Hounds', near the river Thames in Lower Caversham in Reading...about quarter of a mile to the rear of Reading Central train station, in Berkshire England...There's a Blue Plaque on the building too. Small little place, if you blinked you'd miss it, as you drive by it towards the local Waitrose & shops...They hitch-hiked down from Liverpool & played the first of two gigs on the 23rd of April 1960, during the Easter holidays ...I've been past it hundreds of times, but never been inside the place.. Maybe it's time I did ...Imagine being served by John & Paul, back in the day & hearing them sing & play ..I bet the customers on those nights never realised that they were witnessing historical music folklore in the making!!! 😃🎸🎶

Guy i know and his deceased brothers stole that " twins" name from Paul and John and played all up and down east coast ! I asked him " were you good"? " Yea Capitol ( around time of Beatles offered me contract 1 album 1 single per year but complained he sounded too much like Beatles! " We want you to sound like Bee Gees" " i dont want to sound like Bee Gees"

It must be fascinating to think every single person who’s been close to Paul McCartney has been lying for 60 years. Every single one of them. But your fantasies are based on the belief that everyone else will lie, while only you know the truth. There are textbooks that describe this very well.
