I'm VERY new to guitar and you've saved me time by showing songs that don't need chords. I was learning Sweet Home Alabama and was stuck what to do after I learned 3 chords. I was looking for a rock version for power chords but when you look at a rock version all they wanna do is play twiddle diddle solo's, that isn't necessary, just the fact that you've learned it for someone makes it special to them, you've given me the root notes so thank you, now I can go from here.

@@leejohnblackmoremusic If anyone doubts this lesson please read this to the end cos it ends well. I used to play pretty basic guitar about 25 yr ago till I was pushed into playing bass in a friends rock band, which was ongoing till about 5 yr ago, I've never picked an instrument up since till I wanted to learn this for my best friend, I got the one string version smooth in about 15 mins then got cocky and thought I had plenty of time, ,, yeah, plenty of time turned into no time,,, as it always seems to lol. Making barre chords with the root notes is easy, learning to play it that way took me hours, some of that is due to muscle memory for the bass, going for strings and frets in the wrong place but most of it was just total ineptitude and lack of talent but I messaged a recording of it to her this morn, it was still really rough, jerky and off time but she absolutely loved it just cos I'd made the effort. Make the effort people, it's worth it.

Omg!! I am big beginner alot of videos don't help you they want you to move around on different frats make it difficult. Alot of people videos says beginners but they don't know what beginner means. Your video save my life omg brother. I wish I can hug you no homo. Of all the creators for beginners I like you the best because it's very easy for me to pick up the way u teach, JUST 1 REQUEST, PLEASE put the notation or tablature (nos) in a bright color like red or something glowing so that they have a high contrast with the background, just do that and u will be God!
