Thank you so much for this thorough explanation, and review on the Happy Cheetah Program. I will be starting it soon for my little one. I really appreciate way that the name of the program was chosen, regarding, encouraging delight and happiness, as well as focus and easy moving through with 20 minutes for each lesson. Moreso, it seems like a simple yet effective way to really teach the foundational tools that are needed to grasp a hold on reading, which is so fundamental for all the other subjects. I'm looking forward to using it with my little one.

why does it only go to grade 2?

Many phonics peograms only go through 2nd grade because it's just teaching them to read. By third grade they move from the learning to read stage to the reading to learn stage and the approach and focus changes significantly.
