His range back then was crazy. He goes so high in this song, and at the end, he keeps stepping it down until he sounds almost exactly like he does in the newer "Happy".

I had the opposite happen. I found Danny Elfman's new song (well, I guess new at the time) when searching for this song. In fact, sometimes both songs show up no matter if I put "Danny Elfman" or "Oingo Boingo" next to the word "Happy" I didn't even know he was still making music outside of film scores.

I feel like this is the only unreleased song for this album that ACTUALLY seems to fit the album. It's interesting how much their style changed around this era.

Not the same kind of "Happy" we'd hear from Danny about 34 years from this recording. That's another story. We're here to enjoy this wonderful recording. Another one that I had heard from an earlier collection, and like before, it was lower quality. This is excellent. I stay subscribed because this is the good stuff I am blessed with as a reward.

This sounds very similar to a song used in the episode "Pee-wee Catches a Cold" from Pee-wee's Playhouse. Look up the clip: "Pee Wee Herman Dance Time". I'm pretty sure Danny Elfman did some of the music for that show along with Mark Mothersbaugh, could that be an early/alternate version of this song? Both are from '87

disagree that this song fits the album, at least lyrically. majority of the album is pretty melancholic in what it talks about. this song is pure pop and joy. though musically it sounds exactly like the album.
