Happy Day! 210 Day FAA Suspension Done - I Got My Pilot’s License Back!

My little 2019 airshow performance in my glider (first and only airshow I will ever fly) resulted in a 210 day FAA suspension of my pilot's license. I fought the good fight spending many thousands of dollars because I really believe the suspension was not justified, but it was a flea fighting an angry gorilla situation and they smacked me hard. Today I got my pilot's license back! I look forward getting back into the air and sharing more adventures with you. Thanks one more time for all the support and love shown to me over this last year and I hope everyone learned this lesson: If an airshow organizer asks you to fly a performance - DON'T DO IT! You don't have the credentials and permission from the FAA do fly it. Go figure. Haha. Please be safe everyone during these strange difficult times and I love hearing from you all! Bruno

Bruno, I’ve enjoyed pretty much every video you’ve posted-some with heart in mouth. Awww Bruno! Welcome back brother. I'm excited for you and all of us that LOVE your videos. Definitely congrats on your daughters decision to become a pilot. My 25 year old niece that has been flying with me for 20 years started her training a month ago to work on an airline career and my 13 year old Goddaughter is in her high school's aviation program and will work on her pilots license her senior year. I didn't know about the suspension until this video. I'm glad you get to do what you want to do again because it makes you happy. :) Your video and knowledge of the suspension will help keep the sport safer. I love to see what you do in the skies over Utah, Arizona, Colorado and many other states. My brother does snowboarding in Utah and went yesterday morning. That's what he loves to do. As I was going through my primary training I could not imagine why someone would want to fly a glider when they could fly something with an engine on it. And then I found your videos and was awestruck at the idea of flying for three hours (yes, I watched the whole thing at normal speed!) From Heber to the Uintas, past Timpanogos and back without power! It blew my mind!

Hey Bruno, I just wanted to thank you for your inspiring videos and I look forward to more. I thought I'd tell you my story so here goes. During lockdown in April 2020 I reflected on things that I really missed and flying was the one answer I kept coming back to. But I had become bored with flying Microlights about 12 years earlier and for a number of reasons which includes moving countries (to New Zealand) I stopped flying. So I was looking for something different. That's when I stumbled onto your videos. They inspired me to take up gliding as soon as we came out of lockdown. I am now solo, I've done a number of cross country flights (accompanied by an instructor) and I'm getting ready to transition to a single seat glider. I am loving it, thank you for the inspiration, its a shame that an ambassador for the sport was benched. I'm glad you're back.

Glad you got your Licence back bruno. I'v watched most of your Videos, I used to go on Gliding holidays on the LongMynd UK. great place to fly. It over looked Wales. I was a Design Engineer and when most of the engineering went to the EU. I started designing R C Aircraft on CAD and selling Kits.
