Why is the glider full of water?
@GeoffMcMahon8 күн бұрын
I used to hang glid between 1972 and 1980 and we had no vario and the L/D was shit. Ai truely love your show. The low level recovery at the Tetons was absolutly amazing....Are you a comercial or ex navy pilot?

Hope your doing well Bruno, would love to see another 3 hour compilation from takeoff to landing, something about your gliding thats truly entrancing. Have a fantastic holidays ahead and safe flying as always, god bless!

Thanks for the kind words! :) The good news is that I have dozens of hours worth of footage to edit and share. The bad news is I have many hours of work to make that happen. I hope to get around to sharing more videos in the upcoming months. Take care! :)

the horizontal lines on the mountains are geological formations of different material over time and yes I watched all 3 hours

dumb question but how does landing on a paved runway not screw up the wings?
@BrunoVassel15 күн бұрын
Great question. Gliders have either a small skid or wing wheel at the tip to protect the wing as the glider slows down and the wing drops to the pavement.

Flying this way while talking about safety is ridiculous tbh. You can fly how ever you want. But don’t tell us something about safety while doing so.

"That was some strong turbulence right there; glad I wasn't near the mountain..." Five seconds later, flies near the mountain.

What if a bird will hit wing?Do you have a parachute?
@BrunoVasselАй бұрын
Yes - most glider pilots with their own ships wear a parachute. The most likely reason to use it would be if you hit another glider since we tend to share lift or hit the tow plane shortly after release.

I like to stick to soaring because of rules and stuff like this.

Seems too stressful. Your constantly hoping you get lift and if not your looking for a place to land.

You and your plane weigh less than 1 engine on a airliner your in a kite being pulled forward while you pull straight up

What are the chances? I was flying a 787 in MSFS in KSLC and saw this airport. It seemed interesting and I returned in a Cirrus SR22 to takeoff and fly around the area. This video popped up in my recommended feed and I only recognized the area when you got to 1000ft. What are the chances?

I swear this just happened on a domestic flight I was on in canada, there were large unpredictable gusts of wind I observed the rest of the day after landing, I have tried to find the data close to landing but it is not on flight radar. WJA146 / WS146, I swear right before landing the planes attitude was just like your glider in this video, if anyone has more information or an explanation I would really appreciate it.

Are the numbers correct? 8,000 ft cable and 11,000 ft launch height?

@valerierodgerАй бұрын
The requirement for an SAC card makes sense, even for glider, considering the tragedies we’ve seen at airshows; what gets me is that the organizer and air boss have to know this, and it was pretty dirty of them to have you risk _your_ license so that _they_ got a better show.

Imagine buying a plane. That has to be towed by another plane. Stupid
@mite33917 күн бұрын
Imagine being a plane that has to be towed up by another plane but can fly hours longer than the tow plane by the power of nature and consuming zero fuel.

When landing in a farmers field is the farmer compensated for crop loss or is it minimal & not even considered? Are they ever upset with you landing in a crop field?

You’re preaching to the converted with Cardiff fans, and there’s not many who would disagree with you on any of your points. What the club really needs is someone in charge who knows something about football, a real DoF, because the guys in charge atm know very little (despite being in the business for ten years). Coaching is poor, fitness is poor, tactics are poor, recruitment is poor. We have wasted £250m of Vincent Tan’s money and have achieved nothing. I hate to say it, but I think our luck is running out, and this season we’re going down.
