I have been to Eyemouth after those red codlings way back in 1969. Enjoyed reliving those trips up there Alas I live now in New Zealand and lost my balance so no rock fishing now at 77 years old, Thank you Jarrow for some happy memories. Tight Lines!

Fantastic angling as always Dave, gotta give it a bash with the spinner up there some day. Great variety of species especially the wrasse and big red codlings. Canny moves re the wrasse dance. Keep em coming mate always an enjoyable watch tight lines

thanks richard yes they go dark or even bright red which helps them camouflage themselves in the thick kelp...its a tussle of wills pulling them out at times 😄

Hi hope your well I’ve been with my son all day today at Eyemouth looking for this spot 😂 We fished multiple locations and only managed 3 takes but never landed them. Any tips to help us out (my son 11, patients 😂). Using same set up as you spinning 👍

aww your not at fault Christopher honestly its rubbish up there at the moment...i only caught a mackerel yesterday...should be jumping but its not..best tip find a rock with deep water and snags thats where you should find the fish..the mark you were looking for is tiny and really hard to find..you will have walked past it...good luck next time ...I'll be somewhere else in Scotland until it picks up

Hello j.v on the way back from St abbs the now back to Glasgow...so the razor claws worked a treat..3 good cod about 3 and a half pound and 2 Pollock decent size and 2 coalys all caught of the silver minnows brilliant day so it was and thanks yet again for giving tips and info on your vids bud👍

i find at the golf course it fishes best from high to low then 2 hours in but thats not set in stone sometimes anytime can fish well

@@kev84v when you get to eyemouth turn right at the school follow the road around for a mile and youll see the golf club hq up on a hill and the golf course to your right ....park up there and take a walk to the rocks.. if you've not been before you will have a lot of exploring to do just be careful

Hi Robert the Cutty Sark inn seems very reasonable I've not stopped over but looks good definitley check it out...unfortunately there are no easy spots to access that are worthwhile trying they are all a bit of an up and down clamber over dangerous rocks or cliffs.. Im not sure of your level of fitness at 69.....I like the rocks about a mile south of the harbour before the climb up the hill about as easy as it gets along there...if you do check it out make sure the sea is calm and no rain is forecast 😉

@bibcay2622 i like lure fishing with metal casting jigs or bait fishing with ragworm or peeler crabs...however this summer has been the worst Ive known at eyemouth...maybe give it a go but don't expect too much ...hopefully next year will be better

I’m planning on moving / retiring from West Yorkshire to the Scottish Borders to be near family. So I’m looking at getting back into fishing, I haven’t done much sea fishing before apart from Seahouses on guided trips. They were great, plenty of codling and mackerel. They all got eaten. Keep up the good work. Kevin.
