Good to meet you today at St Abbs, D. Thank you for your time and advice. I had a few coalfish of about 1lb and a third one at 2lb. It got choppy and windy so left at 7. Great video, yet again Davie. I’ve not tried the rock marks there but I have caught in my yak launching from a spot near the leisure centre. I’m going to give them a go soon though. Stay well. Gary

Hi Davie, I’m sure we shall, mate. I’m at St Abbs’s often as it’s beautiful and not too far from my school I work at. Also, seeing as you’ve given me some brilliant advice several times now and took the time to help out a newcomer to the ‘art’ of lure fishing ( your advice when I was up on Skye was spot on and got me into fish in bad weather/ tricky conditions) so I owe you at least a pint and a lunch. Your time, effort and decency are very much appreciated, sunshine. Gary

Smashing video!! Top angling! Do you access this mark at the end of the gravel footpath near cannons ? Thanks
@jarrowvikingsinsaneangling97852 жыл бұрын
thanks Harry glad you enjoyed the vid...... way down is a little hard to describe but its not where the cannons are.....lets say you were to walk to the cannons you would then have to walk back along the cliff top on the north side for aprox 200yds here you will find a big lump of concrete set in the cliff edge... the way down is just to the right of this...its a goat track that takes you under the cliff to the bottom...it used to be fairly easy at the bottom but a big boulder has fallen making it quite a stretch onto the bottom bit....a small ladder is now needed tbh... good luck though if you have a go
@VR6virgin2 жыл бұрын
Loved the video once again. Would it be possible for you to point out where you start your journey down to that mark?I have fished Hairy ness across the way, but cant seem to find the start point on the journey down under the Cannons.
@jarrowvikingsinsaneangling97852 жыл бұрын
best way is to walk to the cannons on the top of the cliff then walk roughly 200yds back along the northern edge of the cliff until you find a large lump pf concrete set right on the cliff edge it pokes out of the grass...the way down is a goat track just to the right....hope this helps please let me know if you find the way

Excellent video, some lovely fish landed there 👍 what rig did you use to catch the wrasse?
@jarrowvikingsinsaneangling97852 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott really really glad you liked the video...the rig i used is dead simple....a one ounce drilled bullet threaded onto my line then the line is tied to a 2/0 mustad viking hook....baited with about six inches of ragworm...a very simple rig and very effective 😀 👍
@jamesaitken59212 жыл бұрын
Eyemouth becoming a regular venue for me thanks to your inspiring videos. Can I ask what tide state you`d choose down at the golf course areas at this time of year. Great footage again...keep it up.
@jarrowvikingsinsaneangling97852 жыл бұрын
awesome james its great ive inspired you to get out at eyemouth...love it...as for tides I actually find the golf course fishes best from high to low but thats not a given..you have a lot of low water marks that get cut off hence low water is good but these spots will fish throughout the tide if you happenedto stay on them..its deep water all along there and id be happy to rock up any time and i often find the afternoon is quite a good time up to 6pm

Great video JV. I have fished eyemouth forcalot of years now with great success with my dad. He struggles with some marks now and last year we ended up fishing red rocks simply because its comfortable but that particular mark has dwindled over the last few years probably because its so easy accessed. Do you have any advice on other marks for wrasse pollock and codling that arent a killer for a 65 year old man with bad knees haha. Any advice appreciated mate. Smashing content as always
@jarrowvikingsinsaneangling97852 жыл бұрын
thanks for the great comment keith... I've been racking my brains and tbh i can't think of any where easy ish....its all tough terrain....only place maybe worth a go is st abbs harbour where the big rocks kinda stretch out to sea off one of the harbour arms...id be gutted the day i can't do it anymore....best of luck
