+Lily Zerep she had to..... Like she said.. He wasn't the one and she knew it.... so getting married to Pete, wouldn't be fair to him because their marriage would have been doomed to fail from the start!

I was sad that it didn't work out with Pete, I thought that they would have been great together. I think the relationship with Dave could have been okay, but with Alex in the mix it made things a little too messy.

I love Penny's character. Sucks that her gut took her that long to figure shit out. She is essentially lost and I am not sure why she would use William's relationship as a template for what she wants. That is what works for them. Penny needs a strong and understanding person who is going to calm her anxiety. Unfortunately, she might not find that person and may have to settle for someone who is not as nice a Pete. But hey, it is all about gut feelings.
