Great video and I love Bill's song. It brought back many memories. I walked in around 1983 and I am happy to say I still remain friends with many of the people shown in the video.

That is a fair observation! I could not have foreseen what transpired through the years as a result of that store.

Totally cool history Don and very cool song. It was very interesting also on how you started your hobby store. I was lucky enough this morning to stumble on this fine video you made because someone commented on the Earl Smallshaw model trains video that I made years ago for Earl and then I noticed, and reread, the comment you made about a year ago. So of course, I clicked on your name to see what you were doing lately, as sometimes life gets in the way and we lose touch somewhat with people. So to sum it up, I had a Happy Accident today with Happy Hobo Trains...I really enjoyed your backstory. We'll have to chat again soon on the phone as that was an equally inspiring day...All the best from the Jersey Shore. Phil

Nice video. I wish I had been down here when your store was open. Just moved down 5 years ago (Riverview).

Gulf Coast Model Railroad in Sarasota is a nice store with a similar vibe. Sorry, no Adult Day Care there! The guys there are great and a lot of the old Hobo's go there now, me included!

Glad you liked it. This was a tough one for me to figure out! I felt the music was too good to just bury in the background of a model train video, but I may do that in the future, as the song has now been it's own feature.
