I always enjoy your podcasts! They are always so cheerful and funny. I especially enjoyed today’s. I love Max’s new sweater with no pockets. I hope to knit it for my husband one day. He has too many pockets and is always searching for his keys. Less pockets should help him find them sooner and I won’t have to wait so long to get in the car or the condo. Vincent thank you for mentioning that your sweater will be longer at the back because backs are not straight. I am presently reknitting a waist band and then going to add short rows before using the Kitchener stitch to unite this all back onto the sweater I knit my husband years ago. Then Vincent explained to Max how to pronounce ‘iron’. Thank you so much Max for attempting to correct your pronunciation. I think you both speak perfect English. I am from BC and I struggled with French every year in high school. In fact i failed grade 11 French and had to repeat it. I’m not sure I improved at all. I think they just passed me so I could leave and go to University. I was once in Paris asking to buy a baguette in French. The woman behind the counter kept repeating the correct pronunciation and I could not hear the difference. I was almost ready to leave the shop without the baguette because she was correcting me so many times and I just couldn’t get it! She finally gave up on me. I have since learned that languages are like math, you either have a talent for them or not. I do not have a talent for either of them and I often say if I had known how much math was involved with knitting I would never have started knitting. Luckily I married an accountant who struggles with French as much as me, but at least he can do math.

The fluff is gorgeous!! I'm REALLY happy to see someone else who does the sleeves before the body of a sweater!!! I find it easier, less bulky & the fear of running out of yarn before doing the sleeves is gone!! You always can adjust the body if you're running short. I'll never look at an iron the same!!! 😂🤣😂🤣

I am using your adorable Mysterious Tropics yarn for the Stephen West Geogradient MKAL as I wanted to use it in something special and different! Y'all - we are southern, but "South West: not south - and no "Fiddle-Dee-Dee." Yes on the Tex Mex - but it is an acquired taste for many No liquor at the airport, you'll have to run to the liquor store, and you can't buy liquor on Sunday, so plan ahead. Herman Marshal or Balcones Whiskey. And Enjoy your time in Dallas!

When I was teaching my kid how to speak, I had to create an "English is weird" rule. "Iron" being pronounced "I-yern" definitely falls into the English Is Weird category. 😂

Hey Max! If I bought two skeins of fluff and held it double, would it work for the stripes in a sweater that’s a gauge of 18 or 19? Thanks!

Fluff held double is more around 15 sts. You could hold a single strand of it with... 4.5mm or 5mm needles (it depends on how tight or loose knitter you are) and achieve that gauge

Correct, Texas is NOT the south, it is the southwest. And Georgia IS the south. (And actually, Gone With the Wind was set in Georgia.) For the Photos at DFWFF, you could say “Howdy, y’all!”
