Matt was a genius with that presidential election bet, he did some real thorough research

political betting was mentioned at the end where andrew brought up robert barnes. you may or may not like the guys politics on twitter, but i would recommend anyone interested to listen to his appearance on the kelly and murray show. the way he breaks it all down is worth a listen.

The Tote has just been revamped here in the UK but its pretty much more of the same bad value compared to trad bookmaker morning prices and of course the best value of all for a rec' punter, the exchanges. Rec Racing punters would be better off on the exchanges backing single win bets and I have shown this in an article I wrote on the subject. The problem for them however is twofold. 1. They cannot pull themselves away from the get rich quick one hit lucky win 2. They have bookie odds rammed down their throat whilst superior exchange odds are hardly mentioned by the media who are of course themselves controlled by big bookie

Important to distinguish between taking a price and seeing it drift versus seeing it drift and then should I take a price. The former means you have a poorer bet than would otherwise be but the latter may well be a good bet. The media have done a pretty good job of brainwashing punters into believing that drifters should not be backed, this is not true

Loving all the content you are putting out. Learning a lot as an amateur better starting to think about things more seriously. Hard to join any live chats, but I would be interested to hear your take on fantasy prop game sites (Prize Picks, Monkey Knife Fight, etc.). How is it that they are legal to operate in states like California when all bets are placed against the house? It seems that they are essentially only offering bad parlay odds on various player props, but curious if you have any thoughts?

Those sites definitely exist in a liberal interpretation of DFS, but they are regulated as a DFS operator by states in which they operate. The implied house edge on those "parlays" is pretty high. I'm not saying you can't find edges, but it's definitely not an easy play. If you're already playing DFS actively it could be worth a look, but I think most value-conscious players see through the bad odds.
