I have a recommendation for 2023 on your house boat. Now, this is something I've experienced on a houseboat as a professional business where I live, but it's having friends and family over on a summer day with a *live* band! Say 6pm-midnight. BBQ, beer and a great time! 👍 on the lake!

Funny you say this...we've been wanting to have a party with live music on our houseboat for about two years now 😀. We have some friends in ATL who DJ and think it would be fun to have them or a live band up for a party on our boat with friends, family, and food. Could be a fun KZbin live event...🤔 . Haha yeah we really should get that photo off to our local zoo. There is one here in Athens that has black bears, and they could probably tell us pretty quickly if it belongs to a bear. It's one of Clare's favorite places to visit. That's great that you all will get to see family for Christmas and New Years. We're happy to hear that! It's going to be a really wonderful time reconnecting. Enjoy every moment. Thanks again for all your support this last year on our channel. Hey Ruth! Thank you for watching and commenting. Glad to hear you enjoy the houseboat camping. We're planning to do more of that next year...can't wait 😀. Glad to hear you also liked us trying some different things - it was fun for us to do the sailing series and are thinking about how we could do something similar with houseboats in 2023. We've got an idea for early spring up our sleeves that we'll share more about soon, once we know it's for sure happening. Hopefully a fun houseboat adventure to share on the channel 😊 . Amazon sells metal zip ties that won't rust. They are much stronger than the plastic ones.

Oh man, this is a great tip. Thank you for this, David. The plastic zip ties just don't hold up against strong wind gusts in the longterm. We should start replacing our broken zip ties with the metals ones when it happens.

This is a fantastic idea for a video! Think we may add this towards the beginning of our list for 2023. We've been repairing some pretty key things on our houseboat lately and haven't shared yet, so can do that along with how we track and plan for maintenance. Thank you for the idea and for watching.
