I can't believe he's gone, I'll never forget the first polka dance my uncle took me to, it 1972 at polonia acres polonka in Randolph two, it was a hot summer Saturday night and Louie was playing, the place was packed, I was 12 years old, it was magic, the sound the band, my uncle had bought me an eight track tape it was the love and peace album, he even had Louie autograph it for me, I played it over and over again before going to see him in person, I still have the tape, I should try to play it someday, the last time I saw Louie was in the baway polish home right before he retired, that's fine as well the polonka closed a long time ago, as it happens a friend of mine moved to Randolph and we found where it used to be, it's a housing development now but the stream is still there that ran through the property, I can almost hear the music driving through the development, over the years I saw many polka bands there and met Johnny Stavins, he did a polka show on sundays from 12 to 3 we used to stop at the WDHA studio which was in a house on route 10, on the way to the polonka, back then there was no security or anything, we just walked right in and be announced that we were visiting the studio,
