I have to say one minute in and I just finished that book too. I admire you running the Marathon and glad you have the opportunity to fulfil your dream. Your Dad would be proud of you. 5km Bridge to Brisbane a couple of years ago was enough for me 😅 (I suported Beyond Blue mental health org and mostly relied on my FB page to raise $). We celebrate MIL 90th this July, all being well and have a visit from our daughter, hopefully, from another land of ice and snow (Norway). It's hard when they live on the opposite side of the world. Lorna when you do the London Marathon make sure you have really comfortable footwear, and perhaps wear toe socks? My sister lost some toenails doing a 25 mile marathon run for charity in Norfolk. (They eventually grew back.)🤭

Love your videos from the US! Hopefully, my tentative travel plans are to fly out of Dallas Fort Worth to the Hamptons north of NYC and visit the beaches once again. Maybe see my niece at UCONN. I miss the water growing up in Michigan next door to Canada. I rent a car and a safe clean hotel and go out on adventures.

Enjoyed the walk around today in the snow. My plans for 2025 is a trip to England to visit Lisa and Glenn from ‘A Life Full Of Meaning’ KZbin channel. They have had narrowboats, building a camper van and just live a meaningful life and bringing us along for the adventure. Love your pink narrowboat. Stay warm.

So I am planning adventurous trips around the USA. Perhaps first I will go from my home in Northeast Arkansas next door to Oklahoma and Colorado to see family. But not this week. Second thought: i just had a random idea of making a canal side “Hobbit Hole using a number of canal boats stacked at different levels and going in different direction with bits and pieces sticking out of the earth and different types of vertical passages (old mine, inside of a great oak)

Lorna, what do you do to keep the water tank from freezing when you are not on the boat to keep it warm?

I have a heater on a frost setting inside the boat, turn the water pump off, open taps and hope for the best

I worry about the fact you top up with water and in one of your old videos you repaired the water tank and gagged at the fact of the condition water tanks are do have a shelf life and you can get ill by filling up same as aeroplanes
