A lot of PZ creators will make a series based off surviving a set number of days (30/100/365/etc.) but I think the ones that tend to stay the most interesting the longest are ones where they have a big-picture goal that actually challenges them. e.g. I'm going to start in Rosewood and make my "escape" across the bridge in Louisville or I'm not going to ever use guns or I can only use things I find - no crafting, repairing vehicles, etc. If you're just going to do a play through with no goal, things tend to get boring when you either have all your basics met and surviving is now guaranteed (short of screw up) or you have no short-term goals to keep you occupied. I know it's not your normal thing but if you can swing multi-player imo it creates the best opportunities for things to be interesting (aka go sideways) because the random doesn't just happen to you, it happens to each of you at some point and the fallout/recovery makes great "story". The next best thing might be to make us your multiplayer: stream PZ where you have viewers vote to help you make choices as you go. Those can be fun for both parties.

Rebirth and PZ, nice!! I'm happy that you are trying to play these overhaul mods for 7dtd since it is clear that you are bored of the regular gameplay. In regards to where to end a PZ run, it really depends on what's the point of the run. PZ is such an open game that you can create all kinds of challenge runs, so you would usually end a series when you feel like you achieved what you set out to do... or died, but permadeath runs are only fun when you are really good at the game(there's no fun in ending a series in episode 3-4 because you died). For example, if your challenge is to kill all the zombies in an area, you would end the run when all the zombies are killed; if your challenge is to survive the apocalypse, you would probably end the run when you become self-sustainable and explored some of the cool areas on the map; if you do a "zero to hero" run, you would probably end the series after you become a killing machine and took on a difficult POI, etc. I hope you succeed in diversifying your content and as long as you keep it within the survival genre, I am more than happy to watch your videos. Not sure what game would strike a good balance, but having another 'main game' to counter 7d2d would be the best bet as 7d2d is slowly ramping down. As for Twitch, either you feel it or you don't and if you don't there is no point pushing it because it relies very heavily on schedule dependance for it to really work. Hopefully something like Subnautica 2 or another survival / crafting / building game comes along if say Enshrouded / Palworld were not to your tastes from 2024. Personally I just enjoy your content through most games and hope the channel continues to grow!

Personally, after watching GNS played rebirth i must say unlike his first rebirth series, the recent rebirth play through GNS went through the same downhill trip of quickly getting bored and wanting to end his series early, playing through them without feeling rewarded for his effort, which also happened to his Afterlife series. As for watching you, it felt like you're some sort of masochistic guy that loves to torture himself by playing vanilla 7days to die on repeat. I'd recommend any other overhauls like wasteland, district zero or the escape from tarkov overhaul instead of afterlife or rebirth considering what GNS went through, he was trying so hard to 'act' interested, at least you're honest about your absolute disgust feelings towards whatever you're playing.

An idea for how to balance making exclusive content for your members/patrons but not totally gatekeeping from your subs could be, for example, releasing episodes of whatever game you're playing for fun to them, but then some time after you've finished the game putting just a supercut of the playthrough up on your channel, or have it in your back pocket as content you could post in case of emergency or something. It's the best of both worlds; the paying supporters get special content, but it's not "gatekept" forever.

If it's not permadeath, it would be completely fine with me. Permadeath kinda kills it cause it forces you to restart from the start, obviously. But just dying and respawning is perfectly fine. Also a play through of this Star wars game would be welcomed. Variety of games would be good. It'll help you grow more than being stuck on 7DTD. Play what makes you happy or let's you have fun.

PZ seems to have very different type of videos compared to 7d2d. Like usually first couple of full days as separate videos and then like 10-50days in 1 20-30min video. And series are usually based on some challenge, like survive X amount of days.

Would you be interested in a “anti-comfort zone” series you could do periodically? Where, maybe based on community votes, you play a random game as a one-off. It could be “serious” games, like, say, Elden Ring, or joke games like Smurf Adventure Party. Either way, it could be hilarious chaos and maybe even give some surprising opportunities, who knows. In any case, keep kicking ass, take care of yourself, and have fun! 👍

I want a Muffalo. For keeps. I've played a lot of Rimworld, which has a ton of mods in the workshop. So many that they can be incompatible and hork each other, so one has to be careful with that. But it's fun to just drop a single pawn in the world with, like, a chicken, and see how long you can survive. For the play hours we've put into it, I'd say it's worth the buy, and it's something that you can go back to every now and again for a long or short run (depending on if you ever want to actually win, which I have never done).

For streaming if you manage to get the chaos crew together then that might be ideal. Otherwise maybe start by doing like a once a week thing. Like a major 7dtd overhaul live some folks can help you avoid spending half a day looking for tomatoes XD.

Your 'December Members Only Stream' from 3 years ago has been regularly popping up in my feed for a few weeks now, but for me (so far anyway) I only see these from maybe 3 channels total. As with most things on the Internet, I suspect it will get progressively worse if they smell any profit from it. I used to be a Patreon, but after seeing how crappy their video player is I generally just waited for the early content to be published normally - as you say it's more about showing support than not being able to delay that gratification for 24 hours. The flipside of members-only content is when entitled brats feel they're missing out - eg a certain firearms history channel who's been regularly churning out excellent content for over a decade got inundated with nasty comments for daring to use another platform for non-KZbin-friendly content. I have no answers beyond knowing for certain that you can't please them all.
