I would like to take this opportunity to thank you Captain Pelicanhead, Illy and Mama Pelicanhead, for all the work and enjoyment you guys have given us over the last year and even to me personally since 2016. You have become my main reference point for creating my own road trip itinerary, Robert. From places and regions to visit to places to stay and places to avoid. I look forward to all your videos every week and am looking forward to your adventures and even misadventures (nothing always goes perfectly, such as you sometimes not timing your visits at the right time, which I find very informative), for 2025. Live long and prosper in the Starship!

Looked like a great time there Robert. It would’ve been interesting to meet you specially when I saw you stop at the Okahumpka truckstop next to the villages where we live lol. My wife is of Cuban descent. Her father fled Havana back in the day and almost had to fight in the bay of the pigs, I think. The, we are both Hispanic. None of us really speak very good Spanish lol how sad is that.. lol for the next time you happen to be in or around the Villages give me a shout out. Perhaps we could meet up I also run a KZbin channel called “retiring to the villages Florida.”Perhaps we could meet up one day great video Robert and I enjoy your travel videos. They are great..

Robert, I would love to see you do an American Civil War battlefield tour across the country. Maybe you could get a guide at each National Battlefield and have them give you a tour. Maybe you could highlight some good campgrounds near the parks. Or, maybe a Native American historical site tour and do the same with guides at each park and good campgrounds at each place.

Were you still going to do the California Zepher Train trip? Amtrak now has a train that runs from Miami up to either Washington DC or Chicago called the Floridian. You could catch the California Zepher from Chicago. Remember if you get a roomette or a bedroom, the meals are included in the price. This way you wouldn't have to worry about leaving your rig parked somewhere. Also be aware that Amtrak does not always run on time, so it is best to leave 1 day in between trains.
