We celebrate Patriots' Day and the 3rd anniversary of TheMBTADog being detained and handcuffed! Palardy 17274 (20 January 1996)
TheMBTADog returns to the scene of the "crime" from April 18, 2017! TheMBTADog revisits Quincy Center to sit on the ground that he was forced to sit down upon and remembers the horrors of being questioned, detained, belittled, taunted, handcuffed and searched without a warrant! What a terrible experience it was for TheMBTADog!
TheMBTADog's bravery will never be forgotten. And today we remember. Instead of feeling remorseful over TheMBTADog , we will celebrate. This weekend, we celebrate TheMBTADog and Patriots!
Give a THUMBS UP to celebrate TheMBTADog and Patriots!
Give a THUMBS DOWN if you still feel mad about how TheMBTADog was mistreated!
Patriots stand up for what they believe for in their country, such as rights and liberties. As with all historic events, in commemoration of TheMBTADog being arrested three years ago on April 18, 2017, we have placed a historic marker on the site where TheMBTADog was detained and handcuffed by Thomas Palardy 399. The paper likely could have blown away or have been thrown in the trash by now - but regardless of whether the paper is still there or not, we shall never forget the day TheMBTADog was detained and placed in handcuffs at the MBTA Quincy Center Station for taking pictures of MBTA buses and trains. We shall always remember TheMBTADog for standing up for being within TheMBTADog's lawful rights.
History repeats itself. On the evening of April 18, 1775, William Dawes and Paul Revere went on their midnight rides to alert Samuel Adams and John Hancock in Lexington of the Regulars (British troops) marching against Lexington and Concord. The fight for liberty was, and still, is not easy. Paul Revere was detained and captured by the British in Lexington, just like how TheMBTADog was detained and captured by the Palardy in Quincy.
If you are interested in visiting the Paul Revere capture site, take a trip on the 76 bus to Old Massachusetts Avenue at Marrett Road. The 76 passes by the site where Paul Revere was captured at the end of his midnight ride.
The Red Line, Old Colony Lines, 210, 211, 212, 214, 215, 216, 217, 220, 221, 222, 225, 230, 236, 238 and 245 pass by the site where TheMBTADog was detained and captured in April 2017. If you are interested in visiting TheMBTADog capture site, go to the busway at MBTA Quincy Center Station.
Just like what happened in April 1775, we continue to fight for our liberties and preserve them for our posterity.
We remember the historic events of April 1775.
We remember the reason the people of New England celebrates Patriots' Day.
We remember the midnight rides of Paul Revere and Williams Dawes.
William Dawes went "by land" and Paul Revere went "by sea". To follow the route William Dawes took, take a ride on the 66 from Dudley in Roxbury to Harvard in Cambridge. Then change to the 77 from Harvard through Menotomy (Arlington) to Arlington Heights, and change to the 62 to Lexington.
We remember the Battles of Lexington and Concord.
We remember the brave men who fought for the liberties and rights we now have in this free country that we call the United States of America.
As one of my viewers posted, as quoted by Thomas Jefferson: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
We also remember the Boston Marathon Bombing that took place on April 15, 2013 and the brave heroes who went into action to save others.
And we especially remember the sad and painful incident that happened to TheMBTADog on April 18, 2017.
Nevertheless, we remain Boston Strong and always MBTA Dog Strong!
Do not let anyone try to take your liberties and your rights away from you! If challenged, stand up for your rights if it is reasonable to do so.
Not every country has freedom. If you live in the United States, be thankful for the rights and liberties that we have. We must preserve our liberties, but the only way we can do that is by making sure we continue to fight for them and that everyone, including the police and people of the general public, understands those rights and liberties.
After the incident with Palardy, according to Superintendent Richard Sullivan, all MBTA Transit Police Officers were retrained on the MBTA Photo Policy. TheMBTADog fought for all of you and hopes that no one else will have to go through the same ordeal that TheMBTADog went through! Change comes when you challenge and fight for it!
Happy Patriots' Day!
Happy Boston Marathon!
Happy Anniversary of TheMBTADog Getting Arrested!
We will always remember TheMBTADog's bravery. Legend has it that TheMBTADog is still detained and handcuffed.
