'Wild And Woolly' Combat Zone Just A Part Of Storied Past In Boston's Chinatown

Chinatown in Boston has a completely different look than it did during the days of the "Combat Zone." WBZ-TV's Paula Ebben reports.

The combat zone was nothing like it has been reported to be in the 70's, I grew up in Boston, and it was a great place to be a young man, spent many an evening in the intermission lounge..

I was born in Boston in 1960, grew up just south of the city, combat zone had bad reputation, but every city in those days had rough sections, strip clubs, prostitution, drugs, alcohol, it's still around, it's just hidden and not as out there as then. Great city, and great area to grow up, ocean, cape cod, snow skiing close by, and of course, one of the greatest sports area ever.
