“Happy People” is a documentary series about people from faraway corners of Russia, who live in harmony with their beautiful but harsh natural surroundings. Experience the incredible life of strong, free-spirited individuals in Siberia during the Spring. Discover how they navigate through and find joy in the challenging conditions of the taiga. This series offers a unique glimpse into a different way of life, providing inspiration and perspective for viewers around the world. I think this whole series "The happy people' is the best thing the whole You Tube system got to offer....much better than all that Hollywood BS that covers just about everything else they have.....much much better.....

To all who read this. The people of the Russian Taiga and all similar folks across this globe we call home, especially the folks who carve their life out of nature, I appreciate you. I am from America. We live the old ways as much as we can. Take only what we need. And give thanks for what we have. I do not care what our govts are doing when I see at the end of the day...I am you and you are me. We are the people of the land and I wish you all only joy in the living we have.

Much respect for these trappers, when the man says” greed is the trapper worse enemy “! Sometimes we can learn a lot by listening to those wise old people who have survived the harshest of conditions & learn so we can use their knowledge to help us potentially survive too, the right way is often not the easiest way but the better to plan ahead than take too much so that other generations can benefit from our own suffering & success alike. Sometime to older way are the right ways & you can't improve on what already works best thinking we know best.

I can relate to and appreciate this beautifully made documentary as I have spent years living in the sub arctic and arctic of Canada. The Inuit have a saying, "the shot you miss is the one you shouldn't have made". Both Cree and Inuit taught me to never kill anything you do not intend to eat. Respect for nature strikes at the heart of these people's culture. I digress.

Beautiful. I wish I was young again. That is what I call living. We have lost most of that kind of living here in the lower 48 states. Alaska is the last real frontier in America, and corporate america wants to get their greedy little hands in there and destroy that too. It has been sad to see how America has been paved over and used up with no regard for Nature. Little do most here realize to destroy Nature, is to destroy themselves as well.

Maynard Did you sleep bad or just stumbled out from a cave? What you don't understand must be ridiculous.. Right? Environmental issues is long known and some countries are dealing successfully with reality instead of ridiculing proven facts..

my thoughts exactly Mary...if I was young and knew then what I know now, I'd be LIVING out in that wilderness...instead I have a huge, 4,500 sq ft home, filled with stuff...we have RV's, zero debt. housekeeper and grounds keeper to keep all this too much stuff organized, cleaned, etc...but I'm NOT happy. I suffer pain, poor health probably all the stress endured trying to keep a perfect home, raise 4 kids...sigh.... We live far out in the country, have a phenomenal view, but if it were a small log shack, with basics and loved ones to share the experiences living out in the wilderness....everything!...except one thing...MOSQUITOES and those tiny gnat like buggers called "no see'ums" that bite! But I think Heaven is going to be more like the wilderness...i doubt Heaven will include a Costco or Walmart....and for sure, houses, but nothing like the ones we had on planet earth....I can't wait...just a little bit longer and we'll be going home!

Он заплакал от воспоминаний которые на него нахлынули тот момент когда он вспомнил слова Сталина из радио о победе над Германией. О тех минутах счастья всех Советских граждан 9 мая 1945 года. He wept at the memory of the moment when he remembered Stalin's words from the radio about the victory over Germany. About those moments of happiness for all Soviet citizens on may 9, 1945.

My grandfather participated in the great Patriotic war . Every year on may 9, this great victory day was celebrated. And he had a tradition he took a tape recorder with songs of that war, photos of his comrades and relatives who died in this war went to the woods in the backyard listened to songs drank and cried talking with photos. And so every year the relatives waited for him to return and all sit down to celebrate this great holiday. He died in 2000. But the photo and all his things are still stored in his room and I and my children have no idea what would change something in his room.
