And as long as you keep talking about this special day the longer you'll keep your mom alive in your heart. I wish my own child would still have that much love for me. Unbelievable that I was so very close with him for the first 20 years of his life until he abandoned me because I had become ill and bedridden for 15+ years. But guess what, as of the beginning of the year I have been back on my feet, I am fighting this awful disease and I am getting my son back. Even ditched the wheelchair and the walker, something the doctors and physical therapists didn't think was possible. Keep doing what you're doing as you have the God-given talent to pull people out of the deepest depression with your jokes. I know, I am one of them! 😉God Bless, mijo 🤗

When I watch this, all kinds of old feelings come up. I'm 56 now. I lived in south Texas growing up, and I have far more, to this day, far more Hispanic Native American friends than white friends. I heard a good amount of Latin music, particularly Tejano music, which was popular with many of my friends. I even had a Latina stepmom for a while in the mid-70s as part of an arrangement to get her and her family into Texas to try to get a better life. One of the musicians she LOVED was Rigo Tovar. I understand your Mom's love for Vicente Fernandez from this perspective.

I took my mom to a concert to go see Malo and couple of my friends that I know worked for the radiostation Wild 94.9 in San Jose Ca.
