Poppy is so fun to watch eat. Her little jaw goes side to side as she crunches up to different foods. She is very head strong and has definite ideas on what she is interested in doing at any given moment and cannot be distracted from that direction. Such a great treat to see this little creature interacting with her care givers in her blessed life.

Poppy is precious and never ceases to bring a smile to my face. So glad you gave a hard NO on getting a Poppy for a pet. Being a member of the rodent family they can be quite destructive if left to their own devices. Y'all are wonderful humans to Poppy by providing her with constant attention, her own area with tons of things to chew, dig tear and amuse herself. What about a bird companion ? I found you on a random short, so glad I did, subscribed immediately. ❤ How did Poppy come to live with you ? Do you take her to the vet regularly? Prairie dog or ground hog if I'm correct is the same. If poppy was outside in a fenced yard she would dig herself a tunnel underground, under the fence and out the other side. Somewhere in the tunnel they make themselves a home. Poppy will grow to much bigger several times her size now. Outside the fence she could find her self in danger. I use to find these ground hog holes all over the alfalfa hay field when mowing hay and nearly fall out of the seat every time the tractor tire would land in one of their holes they would dig when digging their homes.
