How to Crochet an Acorn

To follow on from last week's tutorial, which was for an Oak Leaf, I thought I would design you guys a little acorn to go with it. I hope you enjoy.

I really appreciate your video and used it to make an acorn but then wasn’t happy with the little “lumps” created by the slipstitch/chain at the beginning of each round. So I made it again eliminating that and just doing continuous round which removed the lumps. Am I missing something? Was there a reason for not using continuous rounds?

Happy I love your tutorials I just seem to have trouble following along because you are saying the stitches but I end up falling behind because my hook won't go in the right stitch or I can't find the stitch and neither my leaf nor my acorn look like yours but I love them there cute I just wish they were better looking .
