Yeah. I think both 5 and 6 just aren't as good solo, by any means. Not saying they're the top RE games at all, but anything with a story co op is typically a blast with good co op friends

I like seeing Rob on the show he brings a happy comedic air to the show. Glad Rob recovered from his injury. I remember when Resident Evil (1996) came out for Play Station. I played RE2 for the first time in 2001 on PS and that is one of my favorite games for the PS. I have the RE2 remake for PS4 and love it very on the edge of your seat atmosheric game. Capcom really hit it out of the park with these recent RE2 and RE3 remakes. I look forward to playing RE3 remake.

I recently ran a RPG set in Raccoon City with my niece. She was playing 4 swat officers stuck in a apartment complex. They were protecting a helicopter that was evacuating people and taking them to the police station. Never laughed so hard in my life. She was getting critical shots on the zombies and she decided to shoot one of the zombies in the balls. Zombie fell backward down the stairwell knocking rest of zombie horde down the stairs. She did this so her squad of officers could evac to fire escape.

RE1 (alongside its remake) have the best level design in the entire series. A perfectly crafted map, interconnected rooms and just the right dose of challenge. I would also argue it's got the best pacing too since it doesn't streamline its design towards the end like in most RE entries. It is the most 'elegant' game in the franchise.

My favourite Resident Evil is the remake of the first one on the Gamecube (and the HD remaster of that). That is a benchmark that all other remakes should be held to. That is how to do a remake right.

Great to see Rob back on the show. Resident Evil 2 is my favourite in the series too. Fun fact: I did a speedrun of Resi 2 on the PS1 back in the day. I knew the game well, had beaten it numerous times and was confident of beating the game in under 2 hours, real time. I clocked in at 1 hour and 58 minutes real time, and managed an in-game time of 1 hour, 17 minutes and 34 seconds. I still got a B ranking for my troubles though 😕 lol. Great video as always 👍

RE 7 in VR! After finishing the game 100% in VR the game will always feel like I was there, I survived the events of, rather then simply having "played it." Love all the RE games.

I love RE old style camera and remakes because I want to see the character, his personalitiy, dialogs, movements, interaction and more... RE7 isn't a RE for me, but It's a good game.

Im a die hard original. I also agree RE7 just doesnt have the feel. It feels like a alternate universe. I wouldn’t say a spin off but if you think about it, it seems like capcom wants to depart from the canon characters. I mean im not saying the tank controls should come back but it is departing way too much from the main point and what ultimately put resident evil on the map. Thats pretty cool as Ive been playing all teh older Resi games recently as they are all on offer on Nintendo eShop. Completed 1 and zero straight after each other. Now moved on to 4. (2 and 3 are not on there!) Then I have 5 and 6 (nver placed 6) and both Revelations games to do!

I haven't played 2 or 3, but I loved how RE1 balanced strategy and puzzles while keeping combat to a minimum and even penalizing you for killing zombies. Loved re4, but 5 and 6 felt more like action games.

One of the many reasons I adore RE2 is the Police Station! Even on the original, that place had so much character in itself and these remakes are absolutely perfect! I am also bummed with the first person view in 8 but im still gonna buy it day one :)

They have talked about being close to the scares and being more immersive when in first person for 7 and now 8. I think that they have shifted focus from the player character to all the other characters like the Baker family or villagers in 8/monsters being more of the focus as you are tracking them more than your player insert character (hopefully Ethan will be more fleshed out in 8 seeing as it's personal for him and it's the end of his story). With first person it also feels more like you are dropped into the environment trying to look around and shoot monsters down your field of view/interact with the environment, which feels a little more up close and personal compared to when you are directing control of the character in third person and aiming over the shoulder and clicking on prompts to interact with. I personally like that they wanted to try something different as long as they do have different styles of games come out for different preferences. As long as you can get into the moment and feel the struggles of the character with a good voiced acted performance, I think it works either way. Same goes for fixed camera with RE1 Remake but I can see how that style of control and presentation was too outdated for today's audiences.
